yeah, quite a jump from last years $35... and last year was only mediocre dinner with kinda boring speakers.

So I wanted to see if there was anyone going before plopping down my $50

I'd like to go, but if it sucked last year and the general concensus is to have beer-n-BBQ then I'm with the crowd. What's everyone's take on it??

beer n bbq fits better into my budget than a $50 mediocre meal with boring speakers. and unless these speakers are gonna tell me something significant its probably nothing i cant just read online in 1/3 the time.

$50 will drive off many potential maybes.

forget that... unless it is a top tier dinner then it doesn't sound worth it to me. just convince the speakers to speak at our BBQ instead. BBQ outdoors sounds better than this does anyways.

Yeah, The $50 price tag is sucking.

Not sure if I want to go. Last year was pretty boring and the food was So-so.

For $50 I would expect a big *** steak served to me by a hot stipper.

Actually last years price was $40. Rates are up everywhere and we've worked very hard to keep them within eye sight of last years price. Remember it's not just the meal itself you pay for. We work hard to bring you a great event from start to finish. Speakers etc. will be annouced shortly and I encourage you to attend. Thanks all!

i don't see a plan of events, list of speakers or menu.. nothing that constitutes the price. my suggestion is if you want more people to show, especially for that price, then tell them what they are getting for it.

to me it sounds like an older member meeting, most of the younger members would rather hang out around a fire drinking and shooting the **** rather than eating blah food and listening to boring speeches. even most of the older guys who are in this club have a younger mentality i see and probably even they would be bored by it so unless it is spiced up i think you will be fighting with our BBQ for attendance.

well see, back as SS7, that dinner rocked. The food was great, and they had all the speakers from Japan, and the racing stuff and slide shows and the like.

So... I am mixed on buying tickets this year for it.

I'm going to have to see a list of events prior to dropping $100 for Berry and I to have dinner.

Mark, did they release the group price hotel yet? I haven't seen anything about it.

yep, the it is the same Hilton Irvine Airport hotel as it was in the last years. $99 a night if you call Hilton, and say that you are part of the "sevenstock 9 group". That is the same place as the Dinner will be, so you can drink and not worry about driving.

I also still have an extra room for both Friday and Saturday night that has a single King sized bed at the same rate. (I booked two rooms back when they first announced SS9).

Ryan and I have both stay'd there in the past.

Ryan says he is willing to go drinking after the dinner this year. The last couple of years everyone is normally too tired or they want to head home or not drink... been kinda a bummer. Maybe this year will be better.

you gotta go this year as well so we can have a battle of the gluttonies again.

$50 though is kind of making me think about not going too. maybe theres a reason why its so high this year, but im too lazy to research. maybe someone will chime in for my lazy butt.

I'll post up the menu for this year, when I get home later. Maybe LC can right now, if he's got it... There's NY Steak on the menu.. and some other stuff..
