Knockoff power window switches on Amazon

My driver side lever broke, so I bought a knockoff Chinese switch on Amazon, which came the next day.
$20 bucks and it works perfectly.
Costs less than 3D printed replacement levers...

Just FYI.
Downside is that the switch is canted for RHD cars, so they probably won't fit LHD cars.

Auto function only works on the driver side with mine, but it has a much simpler design that doesn’t involve solenoids.

I find mine on Amazon Japan. Several different companies make them. You'll have to look elsewhere for an LHD version, though.

Yeah typically see on Yahoo Japan for about C$35. With the cheaper knock-offs, the OEM price on YAJ has dropped to about C$160 (from C$350).

My knockoff has been working fine for a number of years.

Wouldn't that put the auto function on the passenger window?

They seem to work well, they do have a very slightly different finish to them though. Whether or not they last remains to be seen.

The one I got supposedly has the auto on both switches. Won't know for a while though as my car is far from running.

I may have spoken too soon?
My driver side switch seems to have stopped working.
The motor itself still works fine, as does the passenger side.
I really wish I had a JDM wiring diagram right now...

The issue may or may not be my F110 CPU, which started acting up again.
According to Japanese Google, you just need to replace the C4 capacitor (0.47μF 50v 85C+)
Hopefully I didn't screw anything up trying to "fix" the solder joints...

New capacitor seems to have fixed the CPU, but the switch is still bad. Guess I’ll see if they’ll send me another one.

I feel I should point out the wires on the knockoff are only about 60% as thick as those on the stock unit... Which is probably not good, considering how much juice gets pushed through the switch.

I bought and installed the 3D printed switches.
They work fine, but the driver side switch is a bit loose, like a loose tooth. This may actually be my fault since I didn’t remove the broken switch the right way. According to the instructions that came with the switches, you actually have to cut the old switches to get them out without damaging anything else.

I bought and installed one of
these these
from Amazon. No cutting required, works fine on both windows.

Yeah, that is basically what I got. They’re probably all from the same factory. The wire is really too thin for the purpose. It worked until it didn’t.

For 1993-1995 Mazda RX-7 Master Power Window Switch FD1466350C Front Left | eBay

I bought one of the eBay switches and decided to swap the faceplates since the new one didn't fit perfectly, sticking up on one corner. After swapping those, I've noticed the new switch locks both windows, and the old switch doesn't lock either window. Weird. It's just plastic, I'm not sure why it would make a difference.

I tested them before swapping and they both worked properly, locking only the passenger window.
