SoCal 's monthly San Bernardino rotary meet: Second Saturday of each month.
well, i cant respond to the battery difference question..... but heres where the battery is gonna be mounted.... i figured it was a empty space that wasnt gonna be used for anything, so why not put the battery there
another very good thing about that spot is its right next to the firewall, and the gaping hole for the wiring harness.... so no power wires going all through the engine bay to get to the battery (i.e stereo, amps, etc)... so everything can stay hidden.... keeps it cleaner

heat is always a concern. i'm still playing around with ideas on where to actually put the battery. if it does end up there, like we originally planned, i'll probably heat wrap it just to be on the safe side.
yeah, relocating to the rear was an idea, but then id have to read into nhra rules and a few other sanctions to see what has to be done to legally put one there.... they need a battery cut off switch, a breather tube out of the battery bx, etc.... just too much to have to do so i dont get kicked off the race track
now is that lip gonna be strong enough to hold the battery up by itself, or does the front part of the battery have a mounted point also? does the front rest on the fenderwell?
doesn't rest on the fenderwell. it should hold just fine, but i can always add one more brace if it makes you more comfortable. i didn't expect you'd be doing any 4x4'in in this car
well took the car on a long drive today around the 30/330 redlands area then back to canyon lake. like 100 miles, and driving on the 215 around ramona expressway i saw a lowered honda si and i thought what the hell i will play with him, i went by him slowly and all he could is look. i guess he knows whos boss. i guess he thought since hes lowered hes fast n furious now with no power
