The roads were less slick, but there was traffic every now and then. If you ask me, every canyon cruise is a good drive as long as everyone comes home safely (without breaking any cars, either). If you really want to have fun in a car, I think autocrossing's the best form of adrenaline there is: no danger at all, and you've got lap times to tell you if your driving skills are improving (and if your car is faster than your buddies').
