proud to say that finally after like three weeks of trying, and frustrated not trying, i got my e-shaft nut (back of flywheel) off, and i'll be swapping my counter-weight in the front soon so i can put my automatic TII into my manual car!

 

sweet, yeah thos little bugers are hard to get off if your new at it!

no what i meant was...someone stationed there told me he had to smog his car even if the state where his car is still registred from doesnt do emissions (FLORIDA)

i was told that all you have to do is take the proof of insurance, drivers license, smog papers from the state...then they will give you the sticker

if you know anything please help a fellow devil dogg up

Do I need only one smog and could it be out in town?
Also do they check your car on base i.e catback, no cat, nitrous, emissions removal.....
i dont want to drive across country and be told by a PFC i got

Aw man I forgot there was a meet yesterday. I worked, but I didn't realize it was the 2nd saturday of the month already.

that's a good question. Vipers and myself are the "presidents" of this club and meet. but I dont think we are the ones you are looking for. we are simply the two that run the San Bernardino meets. as for a So Cal president, I really am not sure who to point you to. I know who your looking for, I just cant think of who that is right off the top of my head. Vipers you got a name for him?

Be told by a PFC LOL ok here's the deal I bought my FC from another marine out of state the car was registered in conneticut, but I wanted it to be california so all I did was smog and take all papers to dmv and got it changed to california, but if you want to keep it registered in your state yeah you where told right you got to do a smog it doesnt matter where loacation but check if it asked for repair or test station only, my friend went to fontana which is about 80 miles from pendleton so location doesnt matter, then he sent back the proof to the state he was from and keeped the car registered in that state while getting a base sticker and everything, oh and as far as them checking your car on base for emmision or exhaust I have never know a MP to do that or the base DMV, no one cares about that stuff on base thankfully thats about the only break you get on base but they care about everyother rule to the max, well you know hope this helped
