Hey guys, haven't posted in the West forum in a bit... but a buddy of mine from work has been egging me on to get a timeslip for my car
I beat him by a carlength or so last saturday in his old school Nova. He tells me his car is capable of 13.5 sec/~100 mph in the 1/4. He thinks I can do 12s. We'll see
I've only drag raced my FD a handful of times, and they were all on the street.
Anywho: he and I are going to Fontana drag strip (California Speedway, I believe) on Sat, July 15th, to make a few passes and shoot the sh*t. I'd be stoked to see other Rx-7 owners show up---no matter what year, generation, etc. Or any rotary powerd car for that matter. I let my musclecar buddy drive my FD and he was floored. He loved the thing. I think he secretly wants to get a rotary powered car now
Let me know if anyone wants to meet up. It's $20 to race, $10 to watch. TEch check starts at 7 AM I believe.

Hey jesse which wheels did you end up getting? The sportmax ones? I was looking into getting those as well, but anyway if those are the ones you got post some pics to show us. On the site it doesnt mention which lug pattern they offer in 5, so I'm assuming they mount fine? Weight?
might just trake you up on that. PM me when it gets closer. I also moght bring a friend with another 8.
