For the SS caravan we're meeting at the gas station in Ontario (like last year)

 

^so where not gonna meet at pirate city first? doesn't really matter but we should get this all figured out.

 

All I know is everyone is going to eventually be at the gas station. If you wanna meet at pirate city first (like we usually do) let me know.

 

well the gas station would be easier. especially if it's just me and you meeting at pirate city. the arco is closer to you anyways, isn't it?

Oh snap! there is a meet this month and Seven Stock! Too sick! Okay I'll be out this weedend and my cousin Even (Cleanseven) is already in Riverside but this month will be cool. Matt I'll bring your tires this Sat and I have to find a place to buy some for my self.

I don't know how many of you guys know or care but Seven Stock Always falls around my birthday and this year It's on my Birthday, pretty much what I'm trying to say is, if anybody wants to come out I'm going to Hollywood later that night the 26 to party it up. I think I'm going to club somewhere and then go the strip club. So if your down let me know.

 

I'll be going to this meet for sure as long as there is a good turnout planned. So lets start a roll call!

I'll go if I can ride with someone. I don't think I'll have my exhaust finished for this saturday.

 

Stick the old one back on. Or shove the cats back on and run without a catback. If you drive to my house in Rancho you could get a ride to the meet with me, but I think I'll be bringing someone so you'd have to sit in the backseat on the way to the meet. Then once at the meet, maybe you could get a ride with one of the other guys during the run.

 

I wont be there. I'll be at a wedding.

I'm torn; I should be spending Saturday doing paint touch-ups and pre-cleaning the car for SSXII, not going out and collecting new rock chips and dirt.

But it's so much more fun!

Thanks fellas. Yes, there was a lot of homework involved. It actually shifts bias toward the rear by about 0.5% however, mazda left more margin in the system than this so that bias is pretty much dead nuts on factory.

I hooked up with Robert last night to do some troubleshooting, confirmed the squishy pedal. We talked about it for a while but kept coming back to the basic fact that pedal compression could only be related to:

-mechanical compliance (which didn't explain why it felt right on my car),
-outright leakage (which we had no sign of),
-or air in the system (which didn't explain why Robert's bleeding had been ineffective).

As such we proceeded to rebuild the calipers. Upon opening them all the way we discovered that the o-rings I added w/ the widening spacers couldn't handle the brake fluid and had started to swell, soften and partially chunk out. Given the symptoms really did feel like air in the system we think that the pieces of rubber floating in the system wasn't allowing a proper bleed (despite Robert's proper techinque).

I picked the o-ring based upon resistance to petroleum products. Apparently glycol based brake fluid is enough different that it caused the issues. I talked to a few hydraulic experts, we picked an alternate material and we should have both our cars back up soon.
