Zenki and kouki refer to earlier and later periods of a model. I can't remember which is which though.

 

That's sooo JDM if you want to be JDM then you should know you JDM, dude Zenki is early style like S14' made from 94-96 and Kouki is the 97-98 the cooler look with more edge ya know that's so JDM son I swear to the all mighty JDM god!

no...thank god because the parts that are being thrown in there are low mileage used parts.. they are already broken in... so no break in period...

the transfer case is finished...tuning tech called this morning to give me the good news now its up to proto to pick it up and install it....hopefully in a timely manner

My seven is sitting in the garage....collecting dust!! I need to get it over to the tune shop...I have been gone for 12 days...so its time to get'r done! I seemed to have an issue with the car idling..again! It's so frustrating...I'm tired of it! So I have payed no attention to it in weeks!

EVO update..... the cams and meth...... i decided to not use the meth kit, and will swithc over to ethenol as soon as more gas stations carry it... already upgraded the fuel system to accomadate it...

cams.... cams are installed.. 950cc injectors are also installed, and car was retuned ...... it pulled 337awhp and 333lb.tq in 110 degree weather... the tuner said in normal weather 85 degrees'ish, it should pull around 345-350awhp.... but the numbers are the numbers lol...

ryan..dont know if u read..but i had a new clutch installed as well..and they put the wrong fluid in the t-case and fried it.. so ive been dealing w/ them replacing it... its been rebuilt and is waiting for them to come pick it up from tuning tech... he SAYS it should be done no later than friday... so im biting my tongue until then

Awesome Jessie....great numbers. I have a friend who just spent 12,000 with Tuning Tech...EVO 9. Levon, do you know him?? His EVO is blue. Well he had a full 2.3L Stroker build motor with all the bells and whistles(cams,injectors,pistons,valve springs,]etc).....and he only ended up with 387hp.....on a FP red turbo. I would be like WTF!!! I just spent all this money...and this is all I get........****...I would rather have a 20b in my 7!

I need to hook up with you guys Tuesday night at the track. Its 2 miles from my office since I can't make the sat meets really. I would like to try the track, but I knew my clutch was going out. So I wanted to make that last since its 1300 out the door for a new clutch installed(ACT 3200,with lighten chrome ally fly wheel, SS brake line, and labor) at RRE. I get the EVO back from them on Friday the latest and can't wait to drive it, I just dropped it off today. For the last few weeks I had to baby the throttle due to the clutch slipping so bad. I was going to do the clutch myself but AWD....and the EVO X is a nightmare compared to the EVO 8/9.

My friend Jay has that EVO X RED color being done by Tuning tech. Have you seen it? GT35r built car...not a bad deal he has going. I'm trying to get him to meet up with us at the track, and do a sat morning run too.

 

The good ol' days...I remember the night we drove it all the way to Lucky7, all the looks we got on the freeway, good stuff.

 

ryan..... yeah, i know levon.... hes always at the track too and goes to the evo meets...... i didnt hear about his hp #'s.....holy hell thats very low numbers for all of that... and he was so excited to see what he got... id be mortified! lol...and yeah, ive drooled over the red evo x there for a while.. that turbo kit is sick!

i know your pain.. i had to baby mine because the second any amount of boost was applied it felt like i had put the clutch pedal down.. it slipped like crazy..lol...... i got tuning techs new custom specced clutch masters clutch.... seems to be very nice so far.. havnt been able to womp on it since it was installed
