robert.... nice brakes!! saw them on joels car.. very well made... so what are some of the corks your having to work out? i wouldnt imagine a bigger master needing to be used due to the calipers not being swapped..but do the spacers added to the calipers to widen them have any ill effect? id assume clamping force will still be identical, as well as brake bias.. even with larger rotors, the bias would still remain the same, correct?

your right the clamping force will be the same since line pressure was never raised and the calipers are the same. but the bias would still be different.
By making the rotors bigger and pushing the caliper away from the hub you have increaded the leverage. meaning the front brakes will now do more work even though clamping force was never raised..... meaning it will now be even more front biased then it was before.

I need to work on the miata sill. got a dent to pull, scuffs to remove, and a general go over of the car to mae sure nothing is messed up. once I do that, I should be back out there.

Robert has larger rotors in the rear as well, and with Joel's calculations, bias shifted less than a percent to the front.

Yeah, thats a seriously good big brake kit if he can keep the bias so close to stock. The creator sure did his homework.

wow...less than 1 percent...thats very impressive....

robert id assume you have ss brake lines... so that wouldnt be the issue... and as u said, you did one hell of a bleed...so no air..... could the booster be bad?

Thats my guess Rob, I would look at the booster. I had developed a problem like that on 1 of my cars and no matter what I did the pedal felt like mush. I switched out the booster and the problem was solved. I hope that is the situation on yours, a simple fix....

Well that was what I was thinking but Joel seems to think its air behind the piston. I also thought made the calipers needed a rebuilt. So Im going to pressure bleed it again and order a new booster.
Thanks
Robert

^ it hasn't really been discussed yet, i'm also curious. Should be nice to go and not get all sorts of disapproving looks from people seeing pistons . Matt if your still trying to sell your tails bring them to the meet this saturday. You probably don't have them anymore as it was close to two months ago since I asked.
Ryan are you going to be able to make it to sevenstock this year in your FD?
