Okay, I finally figured out what the hell is going on with this post. RiceBurner, when you posted what you did, I deduced that you were giving Dave **** for running his car hard with only 80 miles on it. That, and your constant "did you go to the races" line is getting a little tiring. I guess I came across as going against your way of building and tuning engines. I apologize for reading your post wrong and jumping to conclusions.

Dave (GuitarJunkie) definately knows how to rebuild engines. I'm not going to comment on my own rebuilding abilities, there's no need for it. Sorry we're not as hard core and choose to change our oil within 100 miles of engine start. That doesn't warrant the tone or style of your post.

You want to meet up and go head to head, I'm down with that. Just let me know when and where. Just don't get butthurt when all you get are my taillights.

Waste your time? No offense, but when did this board become the San Bernardino meeting board? I understand and respect your desire to keep this thread clean, but what has been posted is still within the guidelines of this site. More importantly, I didn't start this, I may not have been tactful in the choice of my words but I never insulted RiceBurner's rebuilding style. IIRC he slung the mud at Dave first...so please place the blame where blame is due.

it became the san bernardino board when you came into the "once a month meeting in san bernardino"... myself and casey are the ones who put the whole meetup thing together, so we make sure everything stays civil on our thread! it doesnt look too good when new people come to this thread to see what goes on at our meets and all they see is people bitching back and forth!

and has yet once to show his face to the meet,
but he is alllllllllllllll over this thread....

2 words : forum junkie
but seriously, if u don't want to be called by names...
just show ur face and make friends with everyone...
u really don't know what u are talking about to who u are talking about...

man i was gonna be done, but i can't resist...

anyone else notice how he gave me hell for changing the oil so soon, but didn't have anything bad to say about me boosting 10psi on a motor with 10 miles on it?

so where does he work again?

I understand where you're coming from. And I know the other side of the argument too. One of the main reasons I've never come to one of your meets was because of Riceburner constantly spouting his mouth off in this thread, and his condescending attitude. He is not someone I would want to meet in person to shoot the ****, if you know what I mean.

Cmon Riceburner, where's your reply? You scared to race me now or something? Remember I don't know anything about engines, so you really have nothing to worry about.

he he he, you guys just keep having fun with this one dont you?

screw it....... Guitar Junkie, Mazpower, RiceBurner, Vipers, Jilongie........ your all on your own, talk crap, i dont care. Maybe you guys can start a new thread and do it there. just remember I was not a part of it. :p

seriously it's getting kinda funny. I still think we should stop the garage racing, and do some real racing. You can ask Vipers, I am not much of a garage racer, Real 1/4 times speak for them selvs. RiceBurner, MazPower, GuitarJunkie, I know all of you well enough to know that you will take it to the track..... so take it to the track.

Next Fontana race is Dec 3rd...... CRAP! same day as out meet...... hell not that i condone street racing, but yall could just come to the meet and find a good spot to race there.

.............. ok ok ok, I promised my self not to get in the middle of this. I still stick by my original thoughts of all engine builders have their own ways of doing things, and that the three of you know what your are doing.

Hey man its all good, I'm past the whole thing already. But I do want a race from our dear RiceBurner. We'll see if I get my wish. I will definately be at the next meet and I have been known to indulge in the illegals from time to time - although I prefer the track - so if RiceBurner shows up, we'll have some fun. Or I'll just have to go to the track after the meet and do it legit.

Thats the kind of CAN DO aditude that I like to see.

he he he, thanks man.

On a side note, I prefer legit racing over street racing anyday.
1) because it's legal and you cant get in trouble.
2) there are no excuses on a track. no "but you left before I did" no "but I had on coming traffic". You both get a light, if you leave to soon yours turns red. you both have a nice track with no other cars to interfear...... no excuses.

I took my RX-8 to the tack once. (riceBurner you were there). I had wheel spin like a MOTHA and ran a 16.00 - the wheel spin is not an excuse, I know the car will do a 14.5, but on that day, on that track, with the way to many RPM's that I launched at, it got me a 16.00 - No excuses - My fault.

on another side note. I would like to see Mazpower, Guitar Junkie, and RedBaron run. I think those would be some fun races! We REALLY need to do that!

count me in on a drive up anytime. That was my first time pushing the motor that much. I said the same thing to myself(alittle test for the motor). I need to adjust the fuel alittle.

gmr doesn't put enough lad on the car for a long enough time. hwy 18 you can actually hit 7k rpm in 4th gear. that's load

for fun man...
u can't compare a twisty with straightaway...
its just different...

plus, from Sb to Autobacs is 50 mile
and from here to GMR is 40mile
then u can waste some gas up there,
and from gmr back to SB is 50 mile...

that's easy 200mile in like 6hours :PPP
so don't give me those lame excuse dave!!!

i'd like to talk to u more this time anyway
