Well I won't be able to make it, cause my stupid 7 decided to start leaking coolant last night when I drove it to get a car wash. I thought I fixed it, drove over to Del Taco, and ended up with a sauna in my engine compartment. Not sure at this point if its my radiator or one of the lower hoses...I'll dig into it later. I really wanted to make this meet too.

How many secure spots are left? When do you need a payment? I *should* be ready by jan 14 but its a ways away so who knows what can happen.

Looks like I forgot to post this on the RX7club site:

Here is a bit more info about the autocross on January 14th, which takes place on our regularly scheduled 2nd Saturday of the month.

main site:
www.solo2.com

January 14th Practice, at the Fontana Speedway, hosted by my school:
http://www.solo2.com/eventpage.asp?e...-F975CA2C652C}
This page should update in a couple of weeks. The entry fee will be $60-70. Like I said, the events fill up quick and I can guarantee 5 people a spot if they can help set up in the morning (show up around 6:45am, depending on when the sun is up).

Some more info for first-time autocrossers:
http://www.solo2.com/MiscDocuments/Novice.pdf

andrewdruiz, there's one spot left. Let me remind everyone that there will be a brief safety inspection. Cars must have all wheel studs & lug nuts, battery must be securely fastened. You can't be leaking any fluids either, which is sometimes a problem for RX-7's. Money will be due by Jan. 1st.

Current entry list: all RX-8's!
1) speeddemon32
2) Kwescott
3) Snowfl8k
4) Cesar
5) ________

Scotty I'm assuming that fluid leaks are while the car is running right? Or will they freak out if the subframe is a little oily? My FD has that impossible-to-fix oil pan trickle. The car will leave some spots when turned off, but it doesn't leak anything while running. Also with a full event, how many runs can I expect to get? I've heard that with the Solo events, you end up with maybe 8 runs by the end of the day? I really want to hit this up. But I'll just go ahead and pay, just in case my car decides to get stupid before then.

And BTW my car's fixed now. It was a combination of a loose clamp on the upper radiator hose AND a radiator cap with ripped rubber...the cap over the engine. No more leaks but I still need to replace one of my AST lines and the upper, just to be sure.

I just want to add that although scotty can only guarentee 5 spots, others are still welcome and engouraged to send in their payment. I would love to see more then the 6 of use there! just make sure you send in payment AS SOON AS IT "OPENS" FOR REG.

Check SOLO2.com daily to see if registration opens.... I am also sure that someone will be positng here when it does open.

Andrew, are you sure your going to be ready? what are you waiting on?

Mazpower, we would really like to see you there to. maybe you could just make sure the bottom of your car is clean before you head down. could always say it is from a past leak.

scotty, as long as there are no drops under the car he should be ok right?

Red Baron, you going to try to get in to?

GuitarJunkie, how about you?

Suspension wise, i need to order/install energy suspension master bushing kit, dtss eliminator, comp subframe mounts, comp rear diff mounts, comp front diff mount, install 4.1 lsd and corner balance/align it. (Week after next, should take a few days)

Engine wise, reinstall my cai (fell off in the mountains ) and the car is getting lean spikes after i put back on my s4 ported manifolds so i'd like to atleast throw a wideband on there and smooth out my afrs or just redyno it, dave hasn't had the time lately (Whenever dave gets time)

I don't think its leaking anything although i'll double check just in case, any other things i should look for? Oh also my corbeau forza drivers seat, 3 of the 4 bolts are in, because the slider they made for it sucks ball, its still really tight and all but will tech fail me for that?

Edit- I think i asked this question before to you right speeddemon?? And i think dave is gone to modesto for a week so we'll see about that, i have to be patient, his tuning dicounts for homies is too damn good

Andrew gets the 5th spot. For everyone else, I'll do my best to let you know as soon as the practice flyer is updated, hopefully you can all get in without needing to pull strings. There are a lot of autocrossing regulars, and we depend on having them around to help ensure the event runs smoothly.

Mazpower, as long as you don't leave any oil on the ground after being parked for a few minutes, the underside of your car isn't a big deal. At another club's event, the tech guy told me "hey your IC pipes are a bit oily, you might want to check that out," but as long as nothing is dripping it's no problem.

Well the 7's been known to leave a spot or two, after sitting for about 20 minutes or so. I guess this would be an issue.
