Well, a couple of days after it was pulled out of impound; Fris towed it up to his shop (Lucky 7 Racing) and ran some compression tests. The motor needs a rebuild. Fris has more details on the motor. I guess this is a good time for a couple of mods: Half Bridgeport, E85 fuel sytem upgrade, Trans Brace, PFS Cradle, 300m Axles, ect..

After I get back from Kuwait, I am taking my car off the street and making it a weekend driver/Track car. I can afford to be "profiled" again like this.

I filed a claim with my insurance for the paint and my motor. I hope they can cover it. I told the insurance company that the towing company vandalized my car while it was in impound, which they did.

all this while you are away representing your country.

i like how the guy says "cars usually do this after sitting along time" when asked about the smoke.

Just this morning I drove My VW GTI from the house to pick up my tags from the AAA office.
As soon as i got on the freeway with one exit to go (only live like two miles away from the AAA Office) I got lighted up By none other than CHP. LOL i was already in the process of exiting the freeway and sure enough he tails me off the freeway and blasted his lights.

Well let me get to the point real quick here. I made his *** follow me all the way into the parking lot and i proceeded to park in front of the AAA office for my tags.

For the first time in my life luck was on my side Asian cop(solo) approach and i explained that i had just left the house to pick up my tag from "YES" the AAA office.

And on i went off to pick up my tags.................Nice COP

makes me want to cry

Wow Jesse I watched all three vids you posted. Very, very, sad to see these kinds of things. I absolutely hate to see how some of these folks treat cars. Last time my car was in paint I put my PFC rev limiter to 2000 rpm so no one could mess with it, I don't trust any of those fools. Your idle didn't seem too bad, the smoke was excessive, but not super bad.. I've seen worse. I bet the guy who drove your car out of the lot didn't know how to drive a manual trans/clutch car... retard.

I was hoping you and I hit up the track sometime soon As far as making the car a track only thing, not a bad idea... but if I were to lend someone advice about this car: take your time. You don't need to do it all in a few months or a year even. Priorities change... you just had a kid, you're deployed, all kinds of ****. Just take your time.

BTW, that's a sick hood Best of luck to you brother, keep us posted.

Thanks everyone for the support. I know it sucks to have this happen right after i just had it tuned. I will just take this as a lesson and learn from it. As for rebuilding my car again, I have to stay out here an extra 2-3 months to afford that kind of work. Here is what i have in mind though.

Rebuilt Half Bridge 13b-Rew
E85 fuel system with 850/1680's
ACT 6puck Replacement parts
300m Axles (i already have them, just need to be installed)
PFS Diff Cradle
Custom Trans brace (whoever wants to make me one)
Custom PPF ( again, whoever wants to make one..)
MT ET Streets (255-50-16)
Electric waterpump kit
Custom Oilcoolers (BIGGER )
Aftermarket Shocks (Still researching)
Re-Tune from Nelson @ RRR

If anyone has any input, i guess this is the time to throw it out there.
With this setup, the 7 will most likely become a weekend warrior.

That half-bridge is gonna attract attention like no other... it will be loud. you will get pulled over if you decide to drive it on the street. mark my words.

Sorry to see the FD get a raw shake on that but lesson here should be. 1) never give the police reason to pull you over - accelerating up to the speed limit as fast as possible with another car is simply asking for it and 2) remove fuel pump relay when anyone takes your car. especially city employees.

AI should be on your list of upgrade parts with such a build. GL! lucky7 does good work.

well **** I'm glad the charges were never submitted. At least that's something! Actually quite abit given that you serve in the military. Hopefully you will sue the impound yard. Please do!

I'm still paying for my ticket... My current insurance is not renewing my policy, and my buddy who is an insurance agent can't insure me unless he gets creative. Mind you prior to this my record was clean, and in the 22 years that I've had a license I've never caused an accident. But I was dropped because now I'm a danger to the road

well, i have learned that american drivers are great. Here in Kuwait, the drivers are freakin dangerous. i drive an average of 170kph here. The cops dont enforce speed limits, and the camera ticketing system is horrible. Just be glad you dont have to drive here.

Yep I've gotten tickets based off guestimates from cops with no radar evidence to prove anything on their part. I'm sure they are supposed to use their radar if they have it but it won't make any difference as far as the ticket goes. Fact is cops can easily be overzealous with terms like "speed-contest" and still get a pat on the back for being vigilant or whatever.

It's never a good idea to cruise or even be seen with another modified car these days. I remember once I was down in Sac at the speedway legally racing my seven. Then as I was on the freeway headed home some ricers blew past me driving like idiots. I didn't see any cruisers around but I know Sac is notorious for undercover cars so I wasn't taking any chances. I was obeying all the traffic laws to a perfect "t", blinker every time I changed a lane, not tailgating etc.

Then bad luck strikes cause I take an exit a little later and I end up behind these clowns who must've taken the same exit just a couple minutes earlier. Next thing I know there are flashing lights all around me. It was creepy how well orchastrated this ambush was these cops came out of alleyways and sidestreets everywhere. Even so the majority of the ricers got away. They only car that actually bothered to stop was this horrid looking (and probably horridly slow) Honda.

You can guess what happened next they pulled me over too and told me to park behind the honda. Fact was I was presumed guilty of god-knows-what by convenience of association just because I was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Next thing I know this cop is in my face telling me he has reports of "us" street racing on the freeway from undercover cars.

I told him he was full of **** I didn't even know these guys! Look at my car I said it's all stock. (it wasn't of course but bodywork and wheel wise it was). I asked him if he really thought I looked like I belonged with these clowns? I told him the truth about why I was in town and where I was headed. If he actually wanted to do his job he should chase after them instead of hassleing me... but I said that last part more respectfully of course...

Honestly I think the only reason I talked myself out of that speed-contest bullshit ticket was because my seven was clean and shiny and stock-looking compared to the ricers. I would have probably been screwed if any RX7's blew past me on the freeway that night. That's the world we live in now. Profiling. Guilt by association. etc. I wouldn't have believed some of the stories I hear about cops until I saw it with my own eyes.
