Rx7 FD Oil pan job... help???

I need help changing my oil pan on my 93 Rx7 Fd.
I was going to go to rotor sport but 600$ for changing an oil pan is ridiculous.
But here is the catch, I currently don't have the resources to pull my engine myself.
So now I come to my fellow forum members to ask for help. if anyone would be willing to help me in replacing my oil pan that would be greatly appreciated.
Im located in san jose put i can drive to you. if in the bay.
650-839-3599 text me or send me a message on the forums. thanks again

you don't need to pull the engine out to reseal the pan.

put the car on 2 stands on the unibody seams and a jack under the transmission. lower the subframe off the body and lock it in the down position with some wood blocks. that should give you full access to the oil pan.

and $600 for the job isn't rediculous, you bought an FD and knew it wasn't the cheapest car to work on.

i would also recommend an oil pan brace unless you want to possibly have to redo the work over again(the FD pan/mount design is the worst thing i have ever seen and is prone to leaking naturally).

..... Ok i get it. You're fine with paying 600$ for a oil pan change and i'm not. You guys done?

Anyways thanks rotaryevolution. I was able to change the oil pan today... Took 3 hours but saved me 450$ letting it sit for 24hours.

no problem, it's always a good thing to know how to do these repairs on your own anyways.
