He certainly seems to be confident in what he's doing, and I will trust that he will take up the responsibilty of standing by what he says.

As for Go-Racer, reading your previous pasts as well as this one, you seem more competent with your car and whats going on with it than the average forum surfer, and with an experience that makes you feel was detrimental to your car, I'd be upset too. Especially in the car world, we have naught but the opinions of others, hearsay, and some technical data to work with. So views will often conflict. I went in today and had him look at my blow off valve, and he suggested that I could take it off altogether.

In any case, if you feel that you did not have a fair transaction or interaction, you should certainly stop by and explain your situation. He seemed quite reasonable when I met him and I'm sure that he would do what he can to upkeep his reputation. It stands true in business; the (rational) customer is always right.
nicely written!

Yeah that's mine. It's so rough around the edges now ... it was stripped years ago and I basically had to do the best I could with what I had to work with, which wasn't much ... therefore the **** suspension and cheapie gauges ... and at the time, an old F-CON. (It's running on a Power FC now.) I unfortunately had to essentially abandon it at my parents' house, which wasn't a good environment. It rusted some under the hood and inherited some dents and many scratches over the years thanks to my father bumping and backing into it, as well as rubbing it with whatever.

I'm honored that you stood there as it was reborn. It's definitely on the road to recovery and a lot more love. I have much to do.

I'm a little over a third of the way through the break-in period and my car is doing very well everyone! It's tearing through fuel like a champ! Operating temps have been 87 degrees mostly ... ranging between 85 and 89. I hooked up the stereo a week ago because I reached the point where I was comfortable with it again so I didn't have to listen to every noise it made.

Leaving my friend's apartment complex the other night, he said he felt me leave.

I seem to have a minor coolant leak, actually ... I believe. I had been topping it off every few days without many miles in between, which i expected because I figured the water jacket would need some time to fill. I had driven it well over 100 miles since the last top off and I thought I was in the clear, but the warning light came on again tonight. It usually holds around 24 oz when it needs to be topped off. Perhaps tonight is just the final time that it needs something, but I do know that one of my heater lines coming out of the firewall was smashed by the ******* shop that stripped my car so it may not seal perfectly anymore.

I guess if it persists then we'll just have to put it up on the lift when i go in for my tune at 1000 miles.

is there a visible leak? leave the coolant cap off over night. Let gravity do its thing, it usually helps getting the air outta the system. If you continue to be missing coolant and theres no visible leak, you may have a bigger problem on your hands.

DK...i don't know if this is true but i heard you shouldn't use synthetic oil when breaking in an engine and if by chance you do, it would take a little longer to break it in. And if you don't use synthetic oil, then i just made an *** out of myself

Well since my auto transmission lines sprung a gusher from age, today I was actually afforded the "opportunity" to stand over the car while it ran as I filled the tranny up and just happened to notice a small puddle of coolant. (I recently put UV dye in the system for future use.) It's forming right behind the turbo, so I think it's coming from the heater lines. They were my first suspect to begin with because one of the fittings in the firewall was previously crushed by the fagstar shop that stripped my car several years ago. A little more investigation is in order because I didn't see the actual leak and I wasn't about to slip my hand down there and feel around right above the downpipe.

Whatever Neptune Speed put in it is what it has. I think they prefer to use Mobil 1 synthetic generally, so that's probably what it has in it.

Cool

I currently am conducting a auto to manual swap and drivetrain switch (4.10 gear ratio). I am also looking for a tune, ive never tuned my car before, but when i bought it auto, it said it had 286 rwhp. At which i seriously doubt.... no boost controller, and all it had was hks dual cone intake, trust exhaust system, and a trust air box. I installed a boost controller with pre-existing wires already laying in my engine bay, (odd this didnt alter or hinder performance), and it worked fine and increased boost accordingly.

Anyway, after my tranny swap is fully completed i need a tune, and through this whole thread seems this guy knows his rotaries. Now I was wondering if someone can tell me how much would a PFC + Commander as well as his tune cost.

Please let me know
Thanks,
MazRx7FD

PM or post, im subscribing so I can read up on these guys more.

I tried to post this like 9 times last night but the forum wasn't allowing it to go through.

You're looking at around $1000 +/- $100. You can find used Power FC + Commander between $650-750 usually and NepTune Speed charges $300 for first-time Power FC tuning for "stock" motors and turbo (no porting, bolt-ons like you have are OK). Make an appointment, of course. They're always busy.

Good luck with your swappage.
