I've just installed my PowerFC and will be making an appointment for a tune within the next month or so. If no one else gets it done by Yoshi before then, I'll post up my results.

I dropped my car off with Yoshi today after reading the good words about him. My car has a "freshly" rebuilt motor and tranny in it, but has been in storage for several years in North Carolina because after I installed the tranny, I couldn't get it to start (or even stumble). I had it shipped to me last week and after not getting returned calls from R&R, I called Yoshi yesterday.

I dropped by a while after the tow truck dropped the car off and spent some time talking to him. He's great. He showed me around and was super nice and sincere. I told him that I had heard great things about him and that I'm turning my car over to him to rescue and that I trust him and he seemed truly appreciative and honored by having my confidence and compliments.

He revealed to me that he blew the motor in his FC last night playing around with it on the dyno. True to his tuner's heart, he just wanted to squeeze another 5 hp out of it so he pushed it to 1.3 bar and played with the timing. It was pretty funny when he told me, but he says he wanted to rebuild that motor anyway and he already has the parts.

I think you are referring to my car...I just got my red FD back with a JDM motor put into it. The car had fire damage to the engine when I bought it up so I was referred to Yoshiya at Neptune.

Where to begin....I dropped off the car looking like crap and got it back in a ridiculously clean condition. They didnt just do a swap then clean my whole damn car...freaking awesome. They tore out the old engine....clean the whole engine bay, took off all my lower covers and clean all of those....and even clean all my suspension components. Man the car look brand new from the bottom.

So they threw in the motor, hks rs intake system, down-pipe, mid-pipe, hks carbon ti exhaust, and finally tuned all the components with a power fc. Great job! Car has almost 1000 miles on it since the swap and it is running strong.

Great guys and great work....a definite plus!

Hahaha he showed me all of your burnt up old parts. Depending on what the issue is with mine, who knows, some of your old parts may end up saving mine?

I may have to try him since XS is scaring me with prices and the Kan tune is a bust again.

Hello all,

Just to let you know that I took my single turbo there yesterday to get a initial base map setup.

I've been trying to get a light throttle tune done myself but it's been taking for ever and it's very difficult on the street / toll road around here.

Since I only have 200 miles on my new engine, I just needed a 0-4000 RPM to 0 psi tune so I can properly break in the engine.

I decided to take it to Yoshiya at Neptunespeed for a quick dynotune. They did a great job and I would recommend them to anyone. He took great care and about 2 hours on the dyno to make the PowerFC map that I wanted. After that we took the car out and drove it to make sure it was okay. He then finished the map by smoothing out the map, another half hour and then took it out for a final check.

I then drove it home, and what a difference. I had a very rough map started, and he made the car run very smooth throughout the 0-4000 RPM to 0 psi. I drove home with a big grin!

I spent quite a bit of time talking with them and they know rotaries; building, modifying and tuning them.

So if you have been on the fence about going there either for PowerFC tuning or some other work, I would give them a chance as they are very fair and highly knowledgeable.
