Ahh I remember your car! You require a rebuild, right? You have a very nice car!
Yours is ahead of mine (and should be done soon, right?). My apex seals are seized from storage so after your car is done they're going to take my motor out and try to free them through the exhaust ports.

redat i saw your car also their, sitting with no motor. If looks very nice. Dk i also saw your car. Looked like themotor was ready to come out when i saw it. It was also very dusty lol.
I got my car tuned at 11- 12 psi. stock twins, dp,hfc,cb with PFC. Yoshiya said my cars turbos had been the smoothest and quickest spooling stock turbos hes seen. Made me feel very happy. Everything went good tho. i had a compression sheet from couple months ago so he didnt do a compression. I dont know why the dyno display thing wasnt working, but he said i can come in for a free power test run.

Sadly, it was very clean after I did the motor install. I'm just glad to have it in SoCal where it'll stop rusting and decaying.

Sorry guys, haven't had my PowerFC tuned like I had said. Instead I'll be bringing my FD to Yoshi's to treat a boost leak and have a few small brake upgrades done. If my boost leak issue isn't too bad, perhaps I too will get a PFC tune.
FWIW, it's good to see a variety of views regarding Yoshi's work. It may sound insane, but I think if all someone received were great reviews, I'd get suspicious, because let's face it, no one is perfect. When mistakes occur, you would have to look at what a mechanic is willing to do to make things right. That, I have no doubt is a strength of Yoshi's, because he's honest and sincere. He's been the only mechanic to give me a refund because he overcharged me (figured the tax wrong), and will probably be the only mechanic to do so.
I better give him a call tomorrow to make sure I can get my car worked on...it sounds like some of you guys are ahead of me.

I'm very thankful for this thread helping me find someone that I'm comfortable with taking my car to. I've done all of the work on my car, and the only time that I left it to a shop I got it back stripped (when I was in college and needed the motor changed ... I didn't have the place to do it at school). Unfortunately, I don't have the facility to do heavy work on my car here in Los Angeles, so I had to send it to someone to figure out why it wouldn't start. I've posted this before, but I narrowed everything down to R&R as the shop that I could trust but they didn't return my phone messages, so I decided to give Neptune Speed a call.
I feel completely at ease with them. I could not ask for a better situation. I know they won't rip me off and that they actually care about me and my car. He just started the shop so he has everything to lose. I'm proud to be one of their first customers and it's going to be great to hold that position in years to come when they're much more established and successful. Thank you, TR1GGERx1, for starting this thread.
Anyone know who owns the rotary panda AE86 that I saw there a couple of weeks ago? Yosuke said it belonged to a friend of his and had a boost leak. ******* sweet car, though.
