Hello. I haven't posted to this forum since 2006. I moved to the bay area and recently got the rotary bug and found an FC for sale. Everything works on the car and it's completely stock BUT the transmission grinds.

Is there a source for a S4 transmission in the bay area? I really want to get back into a 7.

Pick N Pull, or check the parts for sale section on this site. Parts for FC's aren't hard to find.

Well the guy I got the air pump from is sending me the Air Pump bracket, I've got a split air pipe, and a proper positive terminal on the way. Hoping the split air pipe will work, it's for an auto but I'll make it work. Also have a USDM cluster on the way, with something like 125k miles on it. SWEET! Might start looking like a REAL driveable car pretty soon.

I don't think so Mike. I'm hoping that what I am getting will replace all the cluster/hood surround cuz mines cracked.

I'll let you know when I get my "new" cluster. If it has the complete hood and stuff I will probly have a cracked one you can have.

If you are interested in buying a JDM cluster with a stupid carbon fiber covered surround piece after I get my other one in, let me know.

What kind of parts from that 94 do you have??

Sure, let me know what you have left over. I don't care what it looks like, anything is better than a gaping hole. How is the JDM cluster different? If I can put the US cluster into the JDM cover then I might be interested, maybe you can send pics?

I do have parts, some randoms and loads of turbo stuff from going non-seq. on the project 93. What all are you looking for? I even have a complete barely used A-Spec GT3574 turbo kit I need to sell one of these days since I don't plan to use it on the FD. I've been tinkering with the idea of putting it on one of the RX-2s but that will be $$. This reminds me, I need to do some cleaning in the garage and sell some stuff.

Mike

Mike, get at me about that turbo kit...If no one else rolls on it that is. I've been debating either that Aspec kit or a HKS T51-R...

The only difference on the gauges are that they are metric. They look exactly the same as USDM.

I want to replace the part on my door panels that is black, where the switches sit and stuff. Mine has some carbon fiber piece over it and it looks retarded. Need it for both doors. Also need the door handle "cup" for the passenger door.

Pinched vacuum line FTL! lol

Well I'm in the process of trying to figure out why my air pump won't activate. The clutch works, I jumped the relay and it spins/pumps air. But hasn't come on by activation from the ecu. It's my understanding that it is supposed to pump upon cold start up, any time under 3200 rpm's, and when cruising in 5th gear. Do you think it might have to do with the fact that the split air pipe isn't on yet? Also I found this vacuum line to the ACV (I think) that was pinched upon installation

I managed to free it up so I think it's ok now.
