New to the boards. Quick question-does anyone have a FD I can sit in? I'm 6'4" and I'm going to be buying an FD soon, but need to know if I'll fit. Thanks.

Does it have a sunroof? If not there's a little more headroom.

Yea you get like another inch and a half headroom without the sunroof. Course you can always open thhe sunroof too.

Yea its an auto-x set up car, recaro SPG seat and sliders. Its going to be just a track car, so I only need to fit in it to race. I can't drive my dad's 07 vette with a helmet on so I just want to make sure the car is going to fit me. The guy lives in Colorado too so I can't really go sit in the car til I purchase it after the nationals next month.

I don't know what it will be like with aftermarket seats. Headroom is close with a helmet on, when I auto x'd my last fd I opened the sunroof for extra clearance. I can tell you that my 2002 z06 had more head/leg room then the fd though. Never sat in a C6 tho.

The new FD

It's official, I now have another FD!
It's a 93 Base model, needs a lil work but the motor is fresh ~1000 miles.

Found the broken fuel line, and discovered the car was originally Montego Blue! And from what I can tell is not a base model but a touring with base seats. Found the rear wiper fluid reservoir and it has a sunroof and from what I can tell no base models had sunroofs or rear wipers.

Here is where you can see it was Originally Montego Blue.

The Broken Fuel line, just on top of the Differential coming from the fuel filter.

For now, get it smoggable and fix little things. Over time and LS1 swap, paint job/restoration, 99 spec front, rear diffuser, RE tail piece. Just a few things haha

How did I know you were going to say LS1 swap on a 1k mile engine???? other than that sounds good! you going to keep it VR?

I haven't decided yet, I really love Montego Blue when it's fresh and since it was the ORIGINAL color I might go back to it. I'm probably not going to paint it until I do the LS1 swap which may be a while. Unfortunately whoever painted it VR didn't do a very good job and they painted absolutely EVERYTHING, even underneath the interior panels. So it will be a PITA to take it back to original color.

HAHA and also the 1k mile engine has a mild street port. So once it is driveable/smogged/reg/broken in it should be pretty fun to drive.
