Hey guys. My wife put a 2 inch scratch in someones brand new cadillac the other day and he got an estimate for $550 to repaint the whole door.

The scratch is all the way at the bottom of the door and I feel like someone could easily just paint the lower half of the door or spot blend it. Could any of you recommend a good place for us to refer him to get an estimate? It seems crazy for me that he would want to repaint the whole door. Any thoughts?... or is this estimate reasonable?

I can feel his pain since it's a really new car but at the same time i feel like if it were my car I would rather have the original paint on the door and just use touch up paint and wetsand.

goofy will polish any scratches.. in fact, he will go deep down his throat.
