Thumbs up Lets not forget 9-11

Look guys Im going on the deep end here and reaching out for the 9-11 victims IM not asking for money or anything like that. Just the small things that make a difference and last a life time.

I live her in the beautifull city of San Diego in area that has a lot of potential to make a difference in one's life or many or even thousands and here is what i want to do.

I want to start a wall of memories in the down town area directly in front of the water fountain that is in on the east side of the horton plaza mall. And what i mean by a wall of memories is basically starting a dropp of site of the small things that mean nothing to us but mean a lot to them.

Im going to hang a huge whie blanket off the side of gate with my signature saying they are not forgotten, pics of myself and flowers and stuff like that. Others could drop of toys, bears anything you think of this is not a donation drive just a memory wall. San Diego snow *****, NYC made t-shirts ny hats and stuff like that. We have so much to give but don't because of fear, or lack of info. I just want to do something different this christmas instead of thinking of myself this year. Please post on this thread we could send a smile a thousand miles away thank you and teddy.

Thumbs up Spread The Word

Coo thanks but you don't have to buy anything. Just anything around the house would be coo, Me and my friends Are providing a 100ft banner for everyone to sign if they want to just to either sign it or leave note. Im also dropping off some stuffed animals off that I have lying around the house. My mom is bringing some flowers, and an american flag so this memory wall is not to be expensive but just thoughts of kindness. Thank you for your support and god bless.

Oh please spread the word out about this project all the help would be great thanks

A very noble deed.

I would suggest asking the city before doing stuff like this. As much as it may suck, you have to be aware of any laws that may prohibit stuff like this.

I lived there. Used to work at tower one back in the mid-90s. Was about to start another job at the towers, but delayed the start date so I could take some vacation. I got lucky and missed the whole thing. Another lucky friend of mine who was also starting a job there was running late and managed to survive b/c of that. Others I knew weren't so lucky.

The aftermath sucked. I personally don't want to be forced to remember any more of those times.

I find your idea interesting but painful. Yes the victims and events should be remembered and we shouldn't forget who was responsible and more importantly how to prevent similar **** from happening.

Yeah i plan on checking with the city and also the mall management I don't c it as a problem. And since CBS is right next store i want to let them know as well to get this known around the diego area and maybe further if this works out. If it don't work out I will make this work out some how some way.

As far as bringing back memories of pain i hear you on that, my mom lost her cousin to the whole 9-11 thing. And let me tell you it isn't easy bringing up the past but us as americans, is like they say what every don't break us makes us stronger.

If you would rather send the stuff to my house just let me know Boosted im sending you a pm of my address please spread the word guys. Im making flyers today to hand around my neighborhood to also get neighborhood support thanks guys this means a lot. Small steps to large smile makes a differnece world wide.

Okay i talked with horton plaza mall today and they said they don't see it as a problem but and they think that that would be pretty cool and would bring the city in general closer together as a family. I will be talking with them later in the week.

Come on guys Im not asking for an arm and a leg here just support.

You got my support, when is the starting? I work at the united states postal service on midway so if you do end up making some flyers I can hand them out to some of my co-workers.
