i searched for my problem already and found no definite answers. plain and simple, my car eats oil like shaq eats fried chicken and every time i rev it up past 5 or 6 thousand rpms it smokes and its pissing me off cause i have to buy new oil like every 3 days. it happens more often when im in 2nd gear and it doesn't happen everytime i drive it. i have a 1989 GTUs and any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated. you can e-mail me at mothyy@gmail.com and if any of you know any shops local to torrance, CA (not to far) i know theres the japanese car clinic but im not sure how there prices are on fixing and i was also wondering if its fixable by myself.

go to an autoparts store and get some 'no smoke' oil. its very thick, like maple syrup. it works wonders

Before you get your panties in a bunch, READ THE SECTION. "Upcomin Events / Regional Forums" I.E. technical questions go into the technical secions, unless you have a question that's regional, like how do I start my FB in Alaska @ -40 F ? That's a Regional Technical Qustion !

Also you migh try a heavier weight oil or an oil pressure restrictor.... either of which will fix the situation temporarily but if the turbo is shot, not for long....

The best section you can put your thread is in the 2nd Gen specific section. Do a search in that section and if you don't find anything someone will be able to help you.

Yo noob, what makes you think that limiting your search to the EXACT year of your car is gonna get you any results? Why not put the color of your car and the VIN number in the search as well? Learn how to search before coming on here and calling people names. People have already answered your question, and now they're doing what they do. If you don't like the answer, go ask somewhere else.

btw, if you're looking for a shop, I can GUARANTEE that a search will bring up names of shops. We get that same question every other week. I don't believe that you went through the trouble of doing proper research before coming on here and talking **** to everyone. Either accept the culture of this section or stop coming on here.
