If my registration says I owe 180$ for that cars taxes, (not complete) is it the same thing as not having registration at all. The car has been smoged, and paid for registration, but when i turned all it in, the lady said i owe 180 for the cars registration. She still printed out the reg with the little extenstion that says not complete, but now im thinking i can just leave it like this. Or am i wrong?

Okay this happened to me this weekend and I am a little bitter about it. Well friday night i have a few ppl over and the cops get called at 1130 :/ we didn't even have music on. BTW. this is a house, not apartment. Well they tell us to keep it down and that they dont want to come back blah blah blah. Well then on saturday night we are keeping it pretty quiet but then we decide to go into the spa around 3 in the morning. Well anyways.... we get out of the spa and go back inside and about 30mins later, i'm watching tv and all of a sudden i see two guys dressed in black just outside my window in my backyard. WOW are these officers lucky i didnt have my gun on me. Anyways my question is can these officers come into my backyard without knocking on my front door first or having a warrant??? By the time they were in my backyard we had been in the house for over a half hour so i dont see how probable cause could be their excuse.

I have a fix it ticket for my tail lights. They weren't working and now they are. How do i go about paying the ticket and showing proof that it works now. I know i have to go to the courts and pay but do they just walk outside with me and look at my car or what?

I've seen it happen before. Basically you need to take the receipt for the replaced parts. You'll go infront of the judge, s/he'll ask if it's fixed and will either dismiss the thing or make you pay the fine. It'll take all of 5 minutes. I've never seen them send anyone out to investigate a car.
I got busted for tint *cought* twice and they never checked. I just kept telling them it was off...blah blah blah.

Radar Detectors legal in Arizona?
It varies from state to state regarding Radar Detectors. Answer to a question like this can be found here:http://www.radardetector.net/ However, I believe the only states where radar detectors are illegal are back east.
Sign off fix it ticket for tail lights.
Actually, the best way is to take your car to your local police station or highway patrol and have it inspected and signed off by a cop. Then you can take it to the clerk of the court and have dismissal processed for a $10 dismissal fee.
Fu can advise best, but I've found police local to your home city will sign off as a courtesy. Also, I've heard that Highway Patrol will sign off as a courtesy. County Sherrif will charge to sign off.
Ticket for tint
The only illegal place for tint is windshield and front side windows. If you tinted your front windshield, you deserve the fine for making a bad decision. As to side windows, legally you don't have to have them. So what I do is simply take my windows out (actually pretty easy to do), take it to a cop to get it signed off, then go home and put my windows back in, then go to the clerk of the court with my signed off ticket. I have no guilt essentially cheating the system like this as I see cop cars from the desert areas with tinted front side windows all the time. Since the LA area is basically a desert area anyway, getting a tint ticket is simply BS. Just as BS as the cop lighting up his light bar because he/she doesn't want to wait for the light to turn green.

For my fixit no front plate I just found a local cop that was walking around and showed that it was there, they signed it off then you take it to the clerk at the court and pay a fee or maybe you can mail it in.

What he said....
Anyways, we do not charge to sign off tickets. No one does. Just find an officer on the street that has nothing to do or go to your local police station. Have it signed off and pay the court fee. Thats it.
I totally forgot about this thread too. hahaha

For the most part, exhaust flames come from not having a cat. If the cop knows this, he can do a little more investigation. I am not sure on this next part, but I imagine the officer could write a ticket for modified exhaust and have you go and get it signed off. No car manufacturer has ever made a car that spits flames while being 100% stock.
My Question:
If you're ''toying'' around, would you get in trouble? like "intent to street race" or something??

please do not listen to these non-police officers.
I am a cop and can tell you that if you have an officer "just sign" your fixit ticket, the judge will send you back home. You need to make sure you stop by a PD Station and have them stamp the back of your ticket with their PD number.
Next time, ask for a badge number before you take police advice from an online forum.

would you like to be arrested and then gangbanged in the mens county jail by flaco and tiny? If no is your answer, then you best listen to a real police officer, which is what I am.
