Any Interest for Steve Kan tuning in Socal?
Hello ppl,
Was wondering if there's any interest here in Socal for a Steve Kan tuning session? Steve has expressed consideration if there is enough interest here.

Yes.
The guys at neptunespeed are more familiar with PFC than Haltech. I'm looking for someone who has tunned with Haltech many times before.
Don't get me wrong? I think the guys at neptune are great too!

I've contacted Mr. Kan. He will need deposits form at least 5 people, preferably 8, before he will setup an arrival date and post it on his website.
I've a few more questions for him and will let you guys know the moment I do.
Thank you for your interest.

From Steve:
"The deposit is $200/person. Once
I receive a minimum of 5 deposit, I'll setup a date (or someone who is
local there can setup a tentative date). As for the price, it vary
depending upon the modification and the amount of boost the person who
wants to get tune. I usually recommend RR&R for dyno if this is what
everyone wanted to do. They dyno place will charge separately in
additional to my tuning fee (which is probably 1-2 hrs of dyno fee). The
best thing is for you guys to setup a dyno place if you can find someone
that is cheaper. I don't have a problem going anywhere as long as it is
easy to get to."

Where and when should I send the deposit? I think I'd prefer september, more time to make sure my car is as sorted as possible. Also I've seen Steve's pricing scheme and I was wondering if he'd do stock turbos up to 14-15 psi instead of the 12 psi mentioned in his pricing.

I may be interested if it's not at RR&R. I prefer a loaded dyno over cheaper rental fee. Dynamic Autosports in Laguna Hills is good (4 wheel dynopak not Mustang)but it's about $125/hr vs $75/hr (not sure of their current rate) at RR&R. Otherwise i'll just go with XS Engineering.

We can choose our own dyno location, but will be charged saperately form Steve's tunning charges.
RR&R was just a suggestion, but at the end of the day, we will all have to come to an agreement on where the tune will be at. So if you guys have any hook-ups, now's the time to use it!!!
As for where we can send out down payments to, I've asked Steve and will inform you guys as soon as I get a reply from him.
Thanks

I'm super down. As for the dates I don't really have a preference. August is cool but September might be better so I have time to get the cash together.

I am so down but only if it is in September. Hopefully I can get my ECU and break in my engine by then. I would definately recommend RR&R they are cool as hell and I bet they can give a good deal. Besides they already specialize in Rotaries.
