Sorry for the late response, but I'm going to be out of town for a few weeks and I won't have the changes finished on the car by tuning time. I think I'll have to wait till next time...

Is this still open? If so, I would like to join. My car should be done by then. Please let me know if I can still be added to this tuning session and I'll send out the check immediately.

Thanks

Hey, so is it confirmed the weekend of sept 15?? I know someone here said that he'll put the wideband in my exhaust since I don't have a bung... but what about dual exhausts?

Sorry for the late update guys ... I've been really busy lately.

Auguspaws
dlarson101
stevemack

Your status is pending right now. I've emailed Steve to urge him to check and re-check his old mail the cheques. Hopefully they get found or you guys might have to re-send another cheque.

Looks like we are looking at (2) days of tunning, but I'll let Steve make the call on that. If indeed it's (2) days, it will be on the 15th and 16th of Sept.

I will update everyone again when new information arises.

Thanks!

Ok ppl. Here's the official event itinerary.

Location: RR&R (2608 S. Harbor Blvd, Santa Ana, CA 92704)
Dates: 15th Sept. '07 (Saturday) & 16th Sept. '07 (Sunday)

15th September 2007 (Saturday)
1) Auguspaws 8am
2) RX7LINK 9am
3) Bluesi 2pm
4) Akagi_Red_Sun 3pm
5) Maximus 5pm

16th September 2007 (Sunday)
6) MaezPayne 8am
7) rotorex 9am
8) cozmo kraemer 2pm
9) dlarson101 3pm
10) Stevemack 5pm <--- Pending

Please note, the time slot above are very conservative. They are designed to overlap the previous spots time slot a little and will depend on how quickly or slowly the car before you will take. I urge you all to come early, before your time slot. It will might be interesting to watch your fellow RX7er's get their car tuned. If there is a late show, the next available car will go next so as not to waste the dyno time.

The charge for dyno will be separate from Steve Kan's tuning charges and will run $75/h (Special deal for our event). From what I gather, tuning will last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours so please prepare $75 to $150 in cash or cheque for the dyno and whatever you will pay Steve on top of your already paid deposits.

People not on the list are free to come and wait for openings, but there are no guarantees. It will depend on time availability and on Steve himself.

Thank you all for your paticipation and support. I hope the weekend will be an eventful one for us all ...... in a good way off course

I have water injection and will be attempting to tune for higher boost levels. It may take a little longer than an hour...

Yes, I've taken that into account. The time schedule I've set is "better early than late" conservative.

I cannot tell you when to come, just a rough guide line, but if you are late, you run the risk of delaying your assigned spots.

Hey bluesi, are you gonna be there both days? I heard your car was at Lucky7, but I wasn't in the area to see it.

Will Steve be able to tune my cold start idle as well? I'll be there early just to cool my car down. I think my car will spend the least time on the dyno. I'm not looking for big boost, and I'm still using the stock turbo and intercooler.

Yeah, mine's at Lucky7 still getting worked on. The crew is hard at work to get it ready for the tune.

Yes, I will suggest that everyone come early and allow time for their cars to cool down before the tune. I guess if anything needs last minute adjustments, it'll be safer to work on a cool car.

Tune a cold start idle? You have to ask Steve that. This will be my first contact with the man. I've never seen him before.

If I am not needed for both days, I'll only be there for my tune. I'll be coming from San Diego. Not exactly close by. But I'll see how things go.

Microtech is one of the listed EMS on Steve's website, so I guess he is comfortable tunning with it too.

Help guys!

Does anyone on the first day have methanol? Can you bring more to the tune and let me buy some off you?

Thanks!
