***David Segalla (Guitarjunkie28) Funeral Donations***
I guess I should have asked people if they wanted to donate for the decals rather then waiting for people to come to me.... cause it wasnt working.
Great job Fris and Andy!!!

alrite guys, i'm going to post the decals that i had made, for those of u that didn't go to the funeral, i stayed up last nite and made a rotorman decal so if u guys want one or more just show up to the memorial run or the car wash. also, i would like to know how many more people are interested in buying/donating for the decals so i can get an idea of how many to make. let me know how many u want and what color (white or silver) and also if u want a D.S. decal or Rotorman, or both!
here's a preview of the decals for those who haven't seen them yet.
Thank you to those of you who were able to make it to the memorial. I enjoyed meeting some of Dave's closest friends. Thanks for being friends with him. It is so amazing to see how many people loved, and will miss him. Dave made rotor decals, I have one on my car.
My husband and I are planning on buying an rx7 in memory of Dave. We will put the decal that we got from speeddemon (casey?) on our rx7. I was wondering if I would be able to get some advice on how to go about buying one, and maybe fixing it. We won't be able to buy a new one, so any advice would be great. Does anyone know what dave's fav year, color, features were for an rx7. When we were thinking about buying a van he urged me, get anything but a dodge, or chrystler. I don't think i will ever be able to buy any car from them EVER! I love Dave so much, and have a rotor in my livingroom right next to his picture. I hope i can keep his memory alive. I will send you all a picture when our little baby dave comes, sometime in early April.

his first RX-7 was an FC (86-91) (the one that "changed his life")
the car he moved to when his FC got stolen was the FD (93-96)
the FC is much cheaper.... there are many many ways to go.... depends on money. I am sure you will get a lot of comment here about this... (sorry I dont have much time at the moment for details :/ )

My brother was not racing. his tire was blown by a nail that the highway crew did not take out after painting fresh lines. you need to get your facts staight before you open your mouth. Dave was a good man, wee only hoped he would have just lost his car, but he didn't, he lost his life. you should be ashamed of yourself, picking at fresh wounds of those who mourn a man you could never hope to live up to.

do us all a favor and leave the SEGALLA family and friends alone, they are hurting enough as it is
you really got some ***** bro, i hope you get this as a warning to PLEASE stop
I think Joe took Dave's black FC back to Hesperia, but if you get it back, we'll be glad to help you put it together.
Side note- Didn't Dave want to paint his FD dark red at one point to match his hair back when he dyed it?

I suggest you stop posting. You have no idea what happened, so don't talk.

it is not in the police report, i don't think it is official. i do know it was dave's time to go. he told me back in december that he would not see another bday. as my husband says, he lived 90 years in his 27. we are all better people for having known him.

This will be running in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune...
On Tuesday, January 30th, Dave Segalla passed away, leaving behind a legacy that will always be remembered. Working as a Rotary mechanic at Lucky 7 Racing, Dave was a leader in the RX-7 community always making time for everyones needs, while often ignoring his own, staying up into the wee hours of the morning to help out a fellow rotorhead. The members of Lucky 7 Racing have put together a charity fund and have raised over $3,000 since his death, and the amount continues to grow. There will be a final fundraiser/BBQ at Lucky 7 Racing in El Monte, held this Sunday, Feb, 11th. Please come out and show your support for this fallen rotary tuner by having your car washed, and enjoying some BBQ. The event will start Sunday morning at 10:00 am and we hope to see you there!

I figured since I work for a newspaper, why not spread the word!
