$1200 so far? That's awesome! I will finally be able to send my donation soon. Sorry that it has taken me so long to get it to you Fris. I just wish I could donate more.

yes im thinking of making a list of all the people who donated and their message to Dave's family.

I will do that today. Its a long list

Zach, thanks anything will help. Dave always said he liked you, because he said he felt that you were very nice to him here on the forum. I told him that I met you at Rotary Fest and that you were a cool guy.

my 2 cents:

I say cut a check tomorrow morning, hand off at services - with a flier/ note that hopefully more will come after fundraiser. The list is an excellent idea, i can do something like a spreadsheet or colorful word doc that includes everones comments, and put in on heavy cardstock. Let me know if you need any help with that Lil Red.

Also, Has anyone made a flier for the carwash? If not, I can do so, and we can also give the family the flier, in case they want to come out to share stories about Dave with everyone, or to pass out to the service goers?

Let me know.
Thanks.

Add 150.00 to that, who can i talk to to get the rotorhousing decal?

For those of you won't didn't really know dave, I had the pleasure of meeting dave through business, I live in alaska and their isn't very much support up here as far as rotary's go. When i needed help tuning my car Dave was the only person that contacted me to help me get my car running, Dave then decided that he would fly up to alaska on more than one occasion to help me tune my car spending over two weeks total up here, he said he needed a break from all of the projects (not sure who's) :-) I know he loved working on any 7 he could get a chance too, even if it was 2K miles away... I know that daves selflessness is one that i hope i some day will have for the rotary community, my prayers also go out to daves family and close friends, I only wish i could have spent more time with him..... Rest in Peace Dave....

Make that 95.00 to paypal when you get home.

I have received a 75.00 donation from a co-worker of mine, Mrs. Sophia Sasaki, Esq.. She did not know Dave, or anyone on the forum (except me), but her and her husband Steve are touched by this tragedy, and have offered to foster Dave's cat, and perhaps keep him, if there is a need.

EDIT:
420, that is also pretty cool of your co worker and family. its amazing how much people come together when something bad like this happens. shows you that not everyone out in the big world are bad.

Fris, that was nice of Dave to say of me. And nice of you to say as well. I enjoyed getting a chance to meet Dave and talk to him for a while at Sevenstock this past year.

Consider this a warning. If anyone else decides to come on here and post things like EVO_highway18 did, please remember that anyone on this forum can trace your IP address to your house. And the last thing you want is to give anyone a reason to do something. There has been enough damage done already. Also, you will be banned for your actions.

Speaking ill of the dead is something that is incredibly disrespectful and it won't be tolerated. Especially when it comes to GOOD MEN like Dave. He should be remembered for all of the good that he did for so many without ever asking for anything in return.

Paypal sent. Add $150. That should help reach 2k.

Never met Dave in person, and only had some casual lounge interaction with him over the last few years, but was impressed with reading about how many people he helped directly or indirectly. He was obviously a true asset to the rotary community and a great loss.

I'm new to this forum because of Dave. He was one of my best friends and it makes me so happy to see how much he meant to all of you. He really was the most unselfish person I ever met. He will be greatly missed. If anyone is going to be bringing any of the extra decal things I would love to have one please. I look forward to meeting some of you on sat the 3rd. I hope you all take care and be safe.
