hinson subframe needed

I need aHinson Supercars FD LS1 subframe, I'm sure there has to be someone on here that's getting ready to bail out of their conversion.

It's just a big project to undertake and some people just end up having to bail out in the early stages for medical or personal (wife) reasons. I think we've all been there at some point. Hopefully I can pickup where one of the persons left off ;o)

Good luck, I doubt too many people have one sitting around unused. By the time you get around to needing a subframe it's full steam ahead for most.

I have one on order but It's going to be about 2 months until I get it. If someone would be willing to swap subframes he/she could have mine when it's ready. I am willing to pay a premium.

Do you already have a motor and pulled the rotary? You can just about do everything before you get the subframe. Fuel system, bump steer, clutch master cylinder, cut hole for shifter, lots of wiring, send off pcm if you're going that route, etc. All that stuff takes up alot of time.

Once you get the subframe just bolt it up, mount the rack, throw motor in, plug in pcm, and install radiator. That's the easy part of it all.

Yes but the person helping with the swap doesnt want the car sitting un his garage for 2 months or more waiting on the Hinson parts.

I know that the Hinson kit seems to be the popular route for the swap but I am in the middle of my swap as well, selling and gathering all the parts needed. I have my car at a local chassy shop and he is building a chromoly tube subframe for me along with tube tranny mount and tail diff support eliminating the connecting tourque arm which doesn't belong there! I don't know if anybody is intrested but if there were enough people I could get more made up! Obviously more money than Hinson but better quality material along with stronger construction(tube).

I am using the JTR 1 7/8 long tube headers LS1 with T56, so still using parts that are easy to buy not all custom. I could also get exhaust made up from those headers to your cat back setup, I am using the Apexi N1 duals cut to be true duals 2.5in all the way from headers to mufflers. I don't have pics yet but in about 1 to 2 weeks I should have pics to post.

sounds interesting. Definitely post some pictures. I think I'm going to stick with Hinson; especially since I have already sent payment.
