Does anyone make an LT1 to rx7 FC harness
I for the life of me cannot do wiring, no matter how many times i read over the grannys page nothing makes sense to me.
I can build engines, tune suspensions and rebuild transmissions... but wiring, holy mother of god it is the bane of my existence.
I've been searching google for about 3 hours now trying to find a step by step with pictures but i haven't come up with anything.
Any of you guys have some ideas for me? Should i just abandon ship or just throw my 600hp gen1 SBC in it and call it a day with a carburetor.

Honestly Granny's write up may look rough. But once you dive in things start to make a lot more sense.
Once you have your harness set up to be standalone it really comes down to 12v power, 12v switched and ground. Granny's helps identify a lot of the gauge wires and wires that will help accomplish the power and ground.

^ agree completely. My first conversion was with their directions. Do yourself a favor and print out the relevant electrical diagrams, mark them up with grannies info line by line and you'll realize it's a LOT easier than you think. Hardest part of an FD was the A/C....all it needed was two relays. This is one of those times where you do NOT want to stand back and look at the big picture. The more isolated you make a circuit the drastically easier it becomes.
The 90's and earlier cars are SUPER simple electrically. The engineers just try to fit as much info onto a diagram as they can.
Doing a swap is fun and all.....rewarding even. But if you do the electrical too....once you put out that first fire because you accidentally connected the spark plug igniter ground to switched hot and it runs?....you'll want to do a backflip when she fires up.

I built my own and was totally scared of it but after a my friends bail on me I had myself so I just dove in I learned a lot and now when at the track I know where everything is at no guessing, Howell sells a standalone harness tho I was looking this way if I couldn't achieve my goal

So im really late to the party on this one, but whatever,
I did about exactly what you're trying to attempt with my FC. The granny's website is a terrific general guide, but I never would have gotten it done without having the factory wiring diagrams for both the FC and the LT1 donor car. With those two things, the granny's guide makes a whole bunch more sense.
Oh and if you've got a VATS equiped LT1 PCM, don't forget to either have it disabled by a PCM reflash or using an override box. Otherwise that bad boy will start up and run for like 3 seconds before it shuts off.

LT1swap.com also has a very useful chart for parsing down the wires in the engine harness and where to connect the powers and grounds. That chart with the granny's guide makes it super easy. You can always ask us questions too if you are having issues

Another thing is print out your chart, and if you make off chart edits, MAKE SURE TO ANNOTATE THEM!. nothing worse than coming back to it a year later trying to figure out what you did.
