probably could benefit from a standalone or a true cold air box, plus a custom intake manifold......
But I'm happy with the way it's running now, though it would've been nice if the 5th and 6th ports hadn't stuck open in the low end!

Those # seem low to me, I dynoed last weekend, s4 with 180k miles, RB header to silencer, 2.5 single racing, straight through muffler. I have a good CAI pulling air from outside of the engine bay, right in front of the pass. tire. I made 126.27HP @ 5900 and 122.68 TRQ, between 42-4600, with the six ports closed. With them wired open, it made 142.69HP @ 6100, and 126.70 TRQ @ 56-6500 where it drops 5-8 lbs to 7 grand. But over all, without a tune, that a damn good base to start from!

^^ I agree it seems low too like I said. I thought to myself his mods should put him considerably higher and pondered if his VDI and 6PI are working. I hope you guys can get a good deal more power out of it!

We located the problem with the run:
The secondary throttle plates weren't opening up, the thermovalve that usually opens at 75 F didn't open until 200+ F, so they were closed on the dyno. Still, it's pretty nice to be making 143 hp with primary throttle plates only!

I haven't redynoed it yet!
Gimme a couple of weeks, I should be able to get a side-by-side dyno with the GTUs.
According to the accelerometer I have in the car, I've made 177 bhp.

I'll be watching to see what you get! I'm going to put an AFC NEO onto my FC soon too. I suppose 17bhp increase is not too bad from just a tune. I imagine I'm over that right now though with my intake port matching and TB mod along with my exhaust. Stock S5 is ~160 bhp I think, so it seems you may still be having 6PI or VDI opening problems?
Your RB exhaust should put you near that on a stock engine alone. I'll bet your next tune and dyno you get more that 177!

no, both systems seem to kick in fine, who knows.....
That was the in car accelerometer......not the most trustworthy, but a good baseline indicator. It definitely doesn't feel like the 170 whp of my other car.

Jrat, either you got the most power you could get from this motor, or the motor has gotten weaker in the months in between the two dyno sessions.
I think this really is the limitation of the AFC though, the Rtek is a much better choice for people debating which to get.
