Need your opinion

Took my first Fuel injected turbo project to the dyno today after breaking in the motor i just had rebuilt. Its an S4 motor with a big street port, 550 primary 850 secondary injectors, stock top mount intercooler, and an s5 turbo with 3" turbo back. I ran it 3 times first run 209 HP 181 TQ , Second run was the same and they were both done on third gear. The third run was done on fourth gear and it made 214 Hp 191 TQ. All the runs were done at about 10 lbs of boost. I was a lttle disappointed because i thought it would produce more but what do you guys think ? Does it look about right ? Here are the dyno sheets.

Personally i'd say that's not bad. The HP curve is very flat after 5.5K, which from my understanding is very good.

your turbo is probably way past it's efficiency where it flattens out.. time for a bigger turbo

Edit: y are the 2 lines in your A/F graph on the 3rd run in 4th gear??
i'm hoping the bottom is the reading and the top one is just an error

Frank

The first 2 runs are in 3 rd gear and the last is in 4 th. Im just asking for some input because this is my first fuel injected turbo build up. Ive always been into the carburated rotory so the hole fuel injection turbo thing is new to me.

You run a cold ait intake with a K&N and do you run 3" all the way back? You still use the cat converter?

I was putting down 218.9 whp with completely stock setup except a N1 Catback, Cat replacement pipe, fuel cut defenser, and a Bonez cold air intake and underdrive pullies.

You sound about right with what you have.

i hate to say it, but those numbers are low.

the stock turbo is not what you want with a street port, especially a "big" one.
and since you've increased airflow, and running bigger injectors, i'd say its time for engine managment.

bigger turbo and engine managment you should see some REALLY nice gains

oh yeah, get rid of the factory intercooler.

its very limited and shity for anything more then stock.
i've watched rx7's dyno with the stock IC. it isnt pretty.
with the street port, the stock turbo is being pushed beyond its limits and is probably producing all kinds of heat.

trust me.

0.6 bar is roughly 8-9psi. Your numbers are a little on the low side, but not far off. What specifically does the Jet chip do? Perhaps it's pulling a lot of timing...

well from what was explained to me was that the jet chip provides more fuel. The guy running the dyno said that the car was running too rich, he said if i were to lean it out a little more it would give it a little more HP. Or he told me just to put the boost up alittle more.

You AFR's look just about right. Low 11's are a good, safe AFR to be at. Any leaner will be pushing it a bit, which I don't think is worth it for just a couple more hp.

Is this an untouched S5 turbo? As in, wastegate passages are not ported out?

yeah thats what i was thinking. i put down 226 whp with a intake/turbo-back exhaust/RR streetport

stock EFI sucks

Chances are the guage you have reads in kg/cm^2, in which case .55 kgm/cm^2 is about 8 pounds.

14.2x psi = 1 kg/cm^2

Those numbers look pretty good for what you're running. You're next limiting factor is the stock intercooler. You should be able to put down around 250-255rwhp done with a front mount @ 13-14 pounds.

Stock EFI isn't horrible; but it's nowhere close to being overengineered. I think it's best described as ''good enough'' or mediocre.
