Isnt there a silver FD u in mo town that has right at 500hp, a bunch of people have been talking about it down here but I have no idea if they are blowing it out of proportion.

Whats up man? Of course you can join the 500hp club I'm still not a member yet as I still have to get it tuned and a few little issues here and there taken care of. I've been busy with work so I haven't really had time to finish all the little things so I'm sending it off to kilo racing in florida in the next few days. Should have it back within about 2 weeks to a month and we'll see how it goes from there. I'm still kicking myself for not adding dowl pins to the motor he said since I didn't do that he won't take my car above 20psi Oh well it should still be fun on the streets...

Well looks like I won't be joining the 500hp club on this motor. Kilo just tuned the car and told me he got 400hp at 6500rpm and 18psi. He's scared he's going to blow the motor so he won't go above that. He said he will tune it up to 8500rpm but he will not be going any higher on the boost. So I will have to bow out until I get the motor pinned and re dyno tuned

I guess I'm expecting around 425 or so hp when it's tuned to 8500rpm so that won't be too bad and should kill just about anything in my town. He said at 6500rpm the hp line was shooting up so he has no doubt the car will be above 400 on this tune but won't hit the magic 500hp mark which is about right being that most of the other guys I've seen with this same setup usually got about 490 to the wheels at 20psi.

That's a bummer man, I've seen T70's with similar setups to yours running 470 - 500 on 25 - 30 psi. Having said that before I built my last motor I was nervous to run hi power without dowels even though there's so much talk about them not being needed.

I know, I've heard of quite a few myself but kilo is just scared he's going to blow it up so he won't take it above 18psi. I don't mind really, I'd like to keep this $5k motor for a while

Nice lookin' car man! Incredible setup! I love to see convertibles with lots of power

On a side note it looks like I'll be joining the 500hp club after all. I'll be back here later with the new dyno results.

No dyno sheet but did do 140mph in the 1/4 mile. lbs was 2750. 30 + - 2 boost. 85/90% tuned. S4 motor, stock axles. no two step, just free reving off the line. Only did 10.5et

We did have it on the dyno trying to get things worked out. In third gear with a rough tune we did 580rwhp by 8000rpms. No clean 3rd or 4th gear pulls due finding some boost leaks. Between FD UIM and FC LIM.

Surprising how exclusive this club is... I'm only there if you were counting crank hp.

Most heads/cams ls1s tend to peak out around 430. I put in a bunch of extra work on the intake tract and got that up to 462 (before and after curves follow). Most of the 500+ rwhp v8 cars I know of are running 6.0L or more.

That said, my car is just about a daily driver and lives on arco's finest 91 octane so I'm pretty happy with it. Definitely some wicked cars in here. Your turbos looks like they're made to swallow small children (Monster indeed).
