500+ HP club

Post up if you have a FC with 500+ whp. Just wondering what all is out there....
Post numbers and then your setup. Also add a dyno and pics if you want...
I'll start:

575/481 @17psi, SAE corrected on 93 octane, on a rough tune.

87 TIII
20B
Ported and pinned, atkins seals
Gt42R
LTX12s
Dual walbros
all supporting mods.

On a side note, who else drives theirs on the street, and what kinda mpg do you get? I get a pretty consistent 16mpg...

dyno chart:

Post away!

the only people with fc's that are going to be running over 500 hp are gonna be those with engine swaps - 20b, 13b-re, or *puke* v8

so your in one hell of an exclusive club! and one im very jealous of haha

Don't need all that for 500hp. just takes alittle math and elbow grease.

Yeah, and $$$....

Patman, I like the setup a lot... pretty crazy. Just not feelin the aqua paint. Do I see aluminum foil under the hood? Have you taken it to a track yet to see what it'll run?

To the OP, you're running 575 hp on a 20b... yet you have one of the worst-looking IC's hacked out of the bumper, what looks like tinfoil wrapped around parts of the engine bay, a mess of wires and hoses, and the cooling hose electrical-taped together? Congrats on the numbers, but man, clean some of that **** up!

sorry guys, i like to go fast, dont much care about what it looks like. The 'tinfoil' is some fairly high quality heat shielding material, which is also what is taped to the coolant hose. heat=power loss. i made the IC myself, it fits fine without cutting anything but the bumper, and it is very efficient. I bet you dont know anyone else with a 600hp fc who has less than $15k total investment, let alone a 20b....

all that is beside the point tho. i didnt start this thread to talk about my car, I started it so that other people with a high hp car can post up, because i want to see who else is fast. I know there are more out there, c'mon people, lets see 'em!

amazing...just drive with the hood off that car so others can appreciate it.

And if you don't take that wing and side skirts off..Iwill. I mean you put 5-8k in the motor...put atleast 1-2k on the outside with an oem body and fresh paint.

It looks like you're using the Bosch wideband 02 sensor, and having it that close to the turbo and exhaust ports will probably cook it pretty quickly. how long have you been running it there?

Awesome numbers, I'd return that car back to stock appearance ASAP and get some real wheels and more importantly tires that are worth putting on a car with almost 600hp...that and a good paintjob and it should look great. its great that it can make that on a dyno but I don't see it going down a dragstrip very fast. Just giving my .02 because a car with a sweet engine swap/turbo setup deserves to look better, at least stock...

I am perfectly happy with my car. I am not particularly interested in anyone's advice about what I should do next, I have a long enough list already. Of course, dumb **** like you guys want is far below important stuff like a roll cage and stickier tires, but whatever. Not to be a dick, but wouldnt you think that someone who has built every single part of a 600hp 20B fc would at least be capable of figuring out what he wants to do to his own car?

The point of this was to see other's 500+ hp setups. If you dont have one, or at least close like J-Rat, please refrain from posting. In retrospect maybe I should have made it the 400HP club...

you forget most people here want to look pretty first and go fast later.

Sick car but how do you put that power down? How are you gonna keep the wheels from spinning in every gear at 750hp?? You must have been bargain hunting to be able to get everything done under $16K. I don't think there are too many people at or past 500hp though so you're one of the first I've seen in the last couple of years but 400 might yield more people.

I'm stopping at 350hp, no need for any more than that right now, but I'm interested in how you get the power down to the ground.

My last set up, half-bp t70 did 480rwhp at 20psi. this set up should clear 600rwhp if I can ever get some dyno time

here is an old picture
