let him build and run his business the way he wants to. SOme are interested in *****-to-the-walls power and then wants his customers to feel safe ( and assured he built the motor right and set up the fuel and timing right) while others are more conservative because they don't want to do work for free due to driver error (overboosting, leaning out, et., etc.)
It makes sense to me: he wants to show he can build LOTS of power and if in the search for this power he blows the motor he'll fix it at his expense. As a customer I'd be happy to know I don't have to pay for his mistakes.

I love it when ppl come out and show true colors. You can clearly see who is out there just to take your money and the hell with the results and some one that stands behind the work.

No, 10 degrees advance. Split is still at whatever the Microtech default is as I've not got to that point in the tuning yet.
Wastegate. Braided stainless will not pop off like the silicone stuff will. Wastegate failures stuck.

^ i dont think he is talking about 20Bs....
Wow, thats ultra-conservative. I am running 11* advance at 17psi, with 12.0 AFRs, on premixed 93. Even when it is 100* outside like today I don't have any problems...
I agree on the braided stainless, I have almost eliminated all the soft lines from my engine bay. only the small vacuum lines and coolant left to go, then i wont have to worry about stupid lines blowing off anymore... I can't wait.

425hp at 19psi... tuned down to 390 at 18psi and less timing..
can't really see myself going much higher until i can sort out some more traction..
running a street ported s4 engine with a borg warner s362 .85a/r turbo... pretty much perfect for drifting...
Click here for a vid at the track..

I have no dynos to add, but somehow this reminds me of Mr. Munro's little beauty (in a good way):
It's the self-built, function over form pursuit of performance; awesome job! May your pursuit continue.

Any mechanical wastegate needs a boost reference. I decided to just run it from the intercooler pipe since I didn't have a 1/4" NPT to tap the compressor housing but I did have some 1/4" NPT weld bungs. At the moment the line just runs directly from the intercooler pipe to the wastegate. No boost controller at hte moment so the car just makes about 13 PSI (0.9 bar spring). I need more boost. The GT40R is asleep at 13 PSI. At 15 PSI, good things start happening according to the compressor map. I may just buy a cheap manual boost controller for now, but I will end up with something like the Apex'I AVC-R in the long run.

I suspect my setup will do 500 HP once I get into some real boost. Hell, 13 PSI on the GT40 breaks traction in 1st, 2nd and 3rd....
6 port block, high compression
Street port primaries, secondaries and exhaust. Bridged aux.
GT4088R on custom manifold (~16" runners, 2" diameter) with Tial 44MM wastegate
720CC primary/1600CC secondary
Custom upper intake w/75MM throttle body
Decent sized front mount
Microtech LT8s
I've just started tuning in boost so it's still pretty rough. Not really enough road to do it safely, need to book some dyno time. A/F ratios under boost are in the very low 10s, timing is only at 10 degrees but the car is still a monster. Full 13PSI (wastegate spring...) by ~3500 RPM and generally in 1st and 2nd the tires just fry. Going to the 1/4 mile tomorrow so hopefully soon I'll have some numbers.

Didn't you make like 387hp and like 300 lb of torque on your dyno.

Sorry for poor quality pictures, just walked out and took some self phone pictures...
Dont mind the shitty junk yard wheels... temporary...
Way to many mods to list but the big stuff:
13bt with Gotham Stage 3 race part, Reman housings (S5), 3mm seals, exc.
Haltech E6k, Nippondenso pump, 720cc primary's, 1600cc secondaries
62-1 BB turbo, HKS manifold, HKS 40mm wastegate, 4in intake, AVC-R Boost controller, MSD ignition amps, Spec Stage3+ clutch, ported TB/intake manifold (ad said by previous owner) full suspension, Type S bov, 3in piping, Big Spearco Intercooler
Oh, and no A/c, power steering, cruise control, or sound deadening
Right now tuned for 14 psi, Will be going for race gas tune, after I get some big sticky tires, and some Meth
