14.2 @ 101
I ran my best time of 14.2 @101 this year at the local street legal drags. I am running Kumho street tires and cannot get a very good 60ft time or I would be in the 13's. I got 7 runs today all in the 14's, but my last against a Mustang was my best. Hopefully next year I will have some drag radials or slicks and maybe a new turbo setup. It's still a blast to drive.

I have been battling wheel hop all year. I had been dumping the clutch, but recently have been trying slipping it. Slipping seemed to give better results. I really just need to get some drag radials or slicks.

Here are the videos. I got really bad wheel hop and had to let off on the second run. The last run against the Mustang was the 14.2 run and I beat her by about 2 cars, but it's hard to tell. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWxoGSt5NJ4

Slipping the clutch will handle the wheel hop better. Just dont slip it too much or you will burn the clutch.
Last year in December, because of the wicked wheel hop I had, my axels snapped inside my diff LOL had to tow the car 30 miles home from the dragstrip. Ran a 14.5, then 3 4 months later with a TII rear end instead of a 4.3 N/a diff, I ran a 14.3 with a still shitty 60ft time lol

It's not sad, it's GREAT! I got 7 passes in just over 1 hour. There were a lot of people there earlier in the day for Diesel Days. It's usually pretty packed too. If you can believe it there is a guy that ran 4 consecutive 6 second passes last year.

Thats a real respectable time. Any ecu up grades? FCD? Stock 5.5psi?
14.2 at 101 = mid 13's at that speed, with a great launch.
I ran 13.4@101 with my wrx 1.9 60ft. Its in the cards, just need stickies.
I just need to FCD my FC and I hope I'll be on par with your time.
Keep up the good work.

14.101 @ 98
So I ran a 14.101 @ 98 today for the first drag races of the year. Beat my best of last year, but it still feels like it has so much to go. If I could just get a great launch 13's would be easy all day. 60ft. time was 2.2xx All in good time though.

Those are really good times. Extremely close to what I was running with similiar mods. Get that 2.2xx down to just a 2.1xx and and you see a 13.9xx.
I concur that with those mods, slipping is the way to go. I would slip the clutch from 6500 rpms, let it fall to about 5k, and hit it.

When I first ran my car, I had some crap Fusion zri tires. It didnt get good traction, its also why I probably got such a bad 60' time, that and the wheel hop.
This year, the wheel hop is basically eliminated, and I have some better rubber to get some traction. I am hoping for my 60' time to drop below 2 secs!!!
Since last year, I got another engine, rebuilt and streetported, with everything else same as last years setup with stock turbo and 4x720 injectors and rtek 2.1.
I am hoping to atleast get to the low 13s.
I just hope my driveline doesnt snap again from wheel hop lol
Hope the solid mounts do well.
