12.89 on the stock turbo

s4 engine small streetport
stock turbo
corksport exhaust
1600 secondaries
walbro fuel pump
greddy fmic
haltech e6k
act clutch
re01 tires

Went a couple weeks ago on a wednesday night when not many people were there. Got 25 runs in the two hours I was running. This was the best of the night. Boost was in the high 12s most of the night, hit low 13s for a few runs. Wanted to turn it up more but it wouldnt go any higher. Finally was able to break into the 1.9s on the 60 foot.

Amazing time for a stock turbo! Do you know what your intake temps were at doing that many runs?

Nice! I can't wait to see what my set up does. Also what map are you running, and who tuned it?

That is awesome! Didn't Aaron's Bridgeport turbo with 400-some horsepower only hit the 13s? I'd say you have some real driving skill there.

Temps were in the mid 90s at the line and went up 10 degrees by the end. Almost all the runs were like this. Air temp was around 70 if I remember right. I think the air temp sensor heat soaks a little having it in the elbow.

I started with a basic map the haltech section and made changes to the timing and fuel. I guess you can call it my own map since I did all the tuning.

If so he might have taken it easy on launches because I think he was using the NA differential (which won't put up with as much abuse as the TurboII diff).

here's what it put down earlier in the year. I dont have a real boost controller, just a homemade ball and spring one, so boost isn't consistent through the whole rpm range. Peak pressure was 11.8 around 5000 rpms.

rpm pressure
2500 2.9
3000 7.2
3500 8.1
4000 9.6
4500 10.8
5000 11.8
5500 11.0
6000 10.0
6500 9.4
7000 7.4
7500 7.2

There was no line so once I got back to the staging lanes I was at the line. I was running for a little more than two hours and didnt really take any breaks between runs except for about 10 minutes after running for an hour.

Just one turbo.

nice run antman.. on a different note, there is more to mazda stock parts then meets the eye.. my kid ran 12.4@109mph S4 engine, STOCK TURBO,STOCK INTERTCOOLER, STOCK COILS, STOCK FPR. STOCK ECU, STOCK AIR FLOW METER... just a ported engine, larger injectors, upgraded fuel pump... 1.6 60ft mark and 7.9 in the 1/8 mile.. everybody and their mother said it was IMPOSSIBLE!! but guess what... its very possible.. car could have ran an easy 12.0 or 11.9 with the stock parts.. i say could have because the car is getting some upgrades.. all the stock parts that made my kids car run 12.4 will be up for sale..

and the 12.4 run was done with 9-10lbs of boost

What wheels and tires was she running? I want to get a pair of slicks and be running those times, maybe next year if I have the money to.

Makes me wonder what my car will run, I'm thinking to run a fast time like that you need to be launching and shifting like a pro.
