post pictures of your BBS plasma or SSR s.b.c (Super Black Coat) wheels

Im looking at putting a set of ssr Professor sp1s on my red FD. I think I want the super black coat finish but having not seen this finish in person. I wanted to make sure what it looks like. BBS has a new Plasma finish that looks to me like the exact same thing some sort of black chrome plating.

if you have any pictures that are not doctored up of this finish rim.
Please post it. all I can find on the net are on ssr's webpage and they are doctored up to add bling bling

I've got the "Diamond Black" BBS finish, which i think is also refered to as plasma... It looks like BMW M-roadster wheels finish. It looks HOT.

Yeah,
The black wheel in the picture looks awesome, just not sure how it would look on a red car.

I'm getting the black with the polished lip for my FD. It's black too, it's gonna look awesome, I can't wait. I think I have a pic of the S.B.C though....let me look...

Here is a pic of the Super Black Chrome. Not on the SP1, but you get the idea. Very cool color. Good luck man, hope this helps.

does that add weight like chrome plating? I wonder if this is the same as Rays metal coat from Volk.

is this a new in thing in Japan or something?

I do believe they are a little bit heavier than the stock silver coat. Not by much though, I belive a lb. or 2 per wheel. They look especially nice at night also.

boostorlose,

I'm not knocking it but was more curious about the process, that is, if ws similar to chroming a wheel and thus the associated weight.

I was debating the similar Rays Metal Coat. Do you have any other pictures of this finish? I keep google searching and am not coming up with much.

I didn't think you were knocking it, I didn't take offense or anything, that was perfectly legitimate question. I was just stating that a pound will not make much difference to a street car. I do not have any pics of the new metal coat, but I have seen it and it looks identical to the SSR color. I will look though.
