Will any of these 17" fitments work with no fender rolling or tire stretching? Will be using coilovers. I prefer the wheel/tire be inside the fender, not flush or proud.

Came into a great deal on a set of wheels. 17x8 +38 and 17x9 +30 I’m lowered about 1-1.5 inches. What tires can I fit on there? I was thinking 235/45 and 265/40?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The rear should work as is but may require a very slight rolling the quarter fender lip up. The front depends on the spring/shock combo you are using but most likely you will need at least a 5mm spacer with that mentioned tire combo.

Fitment question

I am new to owning an FC so not super familiar with what I can fit on it. Looking to run enkei rpf1’s in 18x9.5 +15 front with 255 tires and 18.10.5 +15 with 275 and maybe potential for wider at some point. My car does have origin 20mm fronts and 50mm rears. What would I need to get this fitment looking good?

Looking for a wheel tire setup for my 1990 Vert. I'm on Tein S-Tech Springs with stock alignment and don't plan on changing. Will also leave my fenders untouched. My goal is to have the most grip possible without overkill. For instance, if I won't benefit from a tire wider than 225, then I'll just stick to 225. I am also willing to sacrifice the cool stretched setup look for a narrower wheel if it offers more grip. For now, I am thinking 17x8 35 Front 215/45 and 17x9 25 245/40 Rear. Future mods will probably be a RB catback, test pipe, and LSD if I can find one. Nothing crazy, just for spirit driving. Any input is appreciated.

Would a 17x8.5 +35 offset work on a stock front fender FC?

You should check out the first page and see the OG posts about fitment. It will really give you ideas for what you want to fit.

17" x 9" +20mm offset (+15 to +30 will work) with 255/40/17 in back

I'm particularly interested in the 5Zigen FN01R-C wheels which I think just match these values.

Note: after further research, I have learned that RETed's wisdom of matching the tire width with the rim width is actually considered a very good theory on handling improvement and is recommended by some guy who wrote some book that I am too lazy to re-research right now. Let's not digress the thread with who it was, but just to say that, yes, it appears to be very solid advice indeed.
can i run 16x9.5 or just 16x8.5

Possibility?

I'm trying to widen out my fc and I'm looking at a set of 18x11s with a +20 offset for the rear think that would even be in the question?
