Going from stock 14" to 16"
I'm considering replacing the stock 14" tires and wheels with 16". 1987 N/A. The offset on the 14's is 40. If I keep the 40 offset on the 16's is that going to work or will I completely screw up the vehicles handling characteristics? I don't know much about suspension, but I think the 14's are too small and I want to replace them.

strike up the paean
go to the FC fitment thread and see what sizes other people have selected for 16" wheels. pick something you feel comfortable with.
offset + width determines how the wheel sits relative to the car. staying with +40mm could cause fitment issues, depending on what width wheel and what size tire you decide to run.
