(After alignment: Rear camber nearly maxed at -1.3, front is -0.3, No rubbing over bumps/making Uturns)… Just really careful when navigating sketchy driveways.
(Gave the guys the alignment specs from fc3spro.com, but they still did the OEM specs.)

I wouldn’t mind some opinions… lower or wider (flip wheel faces to make +25).... To be quite honest, I was about to purchase/searching for bronze 17x9 TE37 ~+22ish all around. I kinda took a jump in another direction.

 

I would space the rears out a tad, and MAYBE drop the front a little more. But the car looks fantastic. Super clean job. I would say maybe TII aero, but it doesn't need it at all.

The +25 would make it more flush but you'd probably need to run a little more camber.

 

It looks great as it is. No reason to use a spacer. Tires go INSIDE fenders.

 

Thanks man. At the moment its true. the car is pretty streetable and not toooo problematic. Im not sure if I want to lower it anymore. I have PLENTY of room for more negative camber, and in fact the front is at 0, and I wanted -1... so I might add the camber anyway.

The problem with spacing is I have to do both wheels or then it wont match cause one will have a gold ring, and the other wont... But I guess I could pull that off as some kind of old school retro racer look...
And just as you say, as we speak Im trying to find TII sideskirts.... cant find...

I totally agree with no spacers and placement of tires, but these particular wheels I can "flip the faces" to the inside of the barrel, effectively turning the wheels from +35 to +25, so Im kinda interested in trying it out.

I have two sets of wheels for the car, the first set is - Weds Adula 17x8.5 +34 front and rear. The second set is - SSR of some sort (they look somewhat similar to AMG wheels) 17x8/9 +4 front and rear

I'm thinking a set of Conti ExtremeContact DWS for the Weds and the summer variant for the SSRs.

Suggestions are appreciated.

How low are you gonna go?

I believe both wheels are gonna require you to roll the front fender lip in... The SSR's... +4? Sounds like those need widebody unless your gonna run mega poke and super super super skinny tires... Did you mean +40? (if thats the case, You might need a +5 spacer for front.)


Weds could be run the same tire so you can rotate... possibly 245. (I have 18x8 +35 w/245 in the front on coilovers.)
Theres lots of room in the back for that wheel, the front is a little closer though, so if you want to rotate, you gotta size for the front, which I think will be maxed with a 235 or 245... or stagger with 235/245... 225/245 if you want a really skinny tire in front.

The SSR's... If they are actually +4... 205/225? If they are +40, then once again the rear will have no problems.... You could run 265 if you want.

 

With my factory 16" directional wheels currently I have a finger(ish) gap front and rear. I don't plan on ever going any lower than this.

For the Weds I'll probably go with the same size tire front and rear.

The SSR's I was told were +4 by the previous owner (he could be wrong as the stickers in the barrels are faded). The dish is resonably deep, I've mounted a rear before and had a very slight poke, the front I never mounted. They were on an s13 with rolled and pulled fenders and a long time prior to that, some guys fc. Here are some pics for reference.

 

If that's all it takes, go for it. More track with means more grip. I think you probably have enough room for an extra 10 mm.

A part of me feels like a huge ricer, I really wanted 17s (proper sizing/fitment/tire prices/etc) , but my buddy goes on and on about how 18s just fit... and well.. .I took the chance and picked some up. I cant complain. they make me happy, car looks good and is still streetable... and tires prices? I guess 18's dont hurt a whole lot more than 17s....

 

are you 100% sure of these measurements?

 

The difference in price for track-ready street tires and race rubber between 15s and 18s is... significant.

The reason they look good is because the rim and the spokes design causes an optical illusion that makes them look like 17s, in my eyes.

There is a lot to be said about the advantages of different tire sizes. While 18s will be heavier, they will also have stiffer sidewalls, which means more response.

Smaller tires cost less, weigh less, and have more compliance, which at times is a good thing.

 

All great points, that's the kind of "tuning" that really gets me. (BTW, the faces of the wheels are 17s. the barrels are step-lipped to become 18s.)

At times the 18s have an easier time to break loose into a powerslide (could also be the stagger setup which I'm still against, but whatever.) where as if I have a smaller wheel/more tire, it would stick and feel more performance orientated.

225 or 235 are good for the front. Rear I have 255.

 

Thinking of getting XXR 002 16x8.25 0 Offset wheels. Im on lowering springs and was wondering what mods would i have to do in order to fit them under the front fenders. Tire size and anything else??? Thanks.

 

would like to know what would fit best. tire size doesnt matter whatever works i dont want to roll my fenders. rear 18x9.5 +30 with 265s should fit in the rear fine? i have no idea about the front thank you all in advance

half an inch is 12.7mm so half that on the front and back of the wheel... and it extends about 6.something-ish mm a side... Should fall just under the fender, but will have to roll the lip. 245 tire... or 235 if you want a little stretch.
I have a 18x8 +35 on front with a 245/35

 

Hehe.. OK they are both 17x7. Ev5s have +45. Ak-55s have +40.
