There are some seriously weak offsets in this thread.
really... people wondering if a 17x8 +35 will fit?
My last two FCs (the t2 and the yellow one), and a buddys car
F:16x7 +20, 205/45R16
R: 16x8 +11, 215/50R16

^^ yeah you may have lower offsets but you are running a 215 tire on a 9 inch rim. With my offsets I have 255's on my 9 inch rim and I could go wider. I call it hella functional or function>form

Yes, some people are starting to believe that HellaFlush provides some kind of performance advantage instead of just being a trend in automotive aesthetics like the earlier fad of Dayton wire spoke wheels they share their positive offsets with.

This isn't the hella flush gangster fitment thread. It's for fitting wheels. All different sizes, offsets and tire sizes. Not everyone likes big meat, big stretch, poke, tucking rim/tire...etc...
When you shave lettering off your sidewalls when your car squats and drag your exhaust on slightly uneven roadways, it's not being a ***** or not being a *****, it's your style.
Trust me, I like it because it's cool and obnoxious but at the same time it really does suck and isn't something for everyone. I promise you that.
I have you beat in lowness and retard spec'd fitments. Why do i say "retard spec'd"?
Because driving on this setup is VERY nerve racking. Not for the feint of heart, people who hate doing body work, people who hate their car making all sorts of crazy noises, people who hate bump steer, people who hate their wheels smacking on **** and rubbing everything, eating holes in their exhaust. If i wanted to, i could call you a ***** and comment on how weak your **** is but i wont because it's far more practical for a street car than my setup....

17x9.5 -10 205 45 -4 camber
All metal. Looks like complete **** and any more than 50 percent throttle and the squat is bad enough to actually slow the car down from the rear tire's sidewalls RUBBING on the 1/4 panels. I drive the car daily, live in a town that the state D.O.T. forgot about and do enjoy drifting (although i need a smidge more pull in the rear so i can throw my car in manlier without spinning from the tire drag).
I posted this soley for entertainment. I really dont care what you guys do to your cars. Just know that being stupid low and rubbing your tires on **** might have a certain look to it but it comes at a price and talking **** to people over it is pointless. They're cars. Nothing more.

Yep. Otherwise you'll be running into caliper issues and nobody likes machining calipers for wheel clearance.
Just check your backspace if you're going to be running fairly wide wheels (8" or bigger) and make sure you wont run into the strut. A contractors square is awesome for checking such things.

I found a pair of these wheels at the junkyard thinking they would fit my fc and also because I like them too for the rear. It turns out they're from the 80's Trans Am and they are 5X120.7. All I know is that they're 16X8 with a 245 50 tire. Any one running these wheels with adaptors? I want to know how much they'll stick out.

well my car is on the shop geting the wide kit install im going with 25mm on front and 30mm on the back now the question i have is what size wheel can i put in there i found this great wheels sizes 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 back with the 35mm offset and i was wonderind if it will fit good or do i have to get spacers? and if i do what size spacer should i get ? to make it fit good with the kit...

ok guys quick question got a 90 gxl with coilovers.
looking to get new rims have some sizes in mind just need to know if they will fit or i need spacers and whats a good tire size to throw on. here are my options:
16x7 40mm offset 73.1 hub size
17x7.5 45mm or 35mm offset 73.1 hub size
The car is just to have fun wit and to mess around with in the streets.

Hey thanks for all your pictures and info guys. I've been wanting to put different wheels on my FC for 5 years now. I ran across these locally for $900 and I'm putting them on next week:
18x9.5 +20 5x114.3 Rota Torques with 245/40-18 Yokohama Advan A13C tires.
Might be a little big but I'm still on stock spring so I won't be too low at least!

I'm going to be mounting a set of SSR Koenigs fairly soon and was wondering what the WIDEST tires I could put on them would be (without rubbing issues of course). I have coilovers and I like to keep my car fairly low (sidewalls still visible). My alignment is going to be road-course oriented so I wont be running any outrageous camber to accommodate tires. Here's the specs:
F:
18x9 +4
Shineauto Forsight fenders (+20ish mm over I think)
R:
18x10 -7
Not sure what brand rear fenders I'm going with yet but I want to do +30mm's (dont like the look of +50's)

for the rear, i recommend AIT B-Magic fenders. They have wayyy better lines than most cheap overfenders (origin 50mm or whatever), and you can flex them quite a bit to get good fitment (mount wheel/tire, jack them up into the wheelwell a bit, push on fenders until they're herrafrush, then drill holes).
i'm thinking with -7, 255 is probably as wide as you could go on them. maybe 275's if you fit the fender right.
heres a pic
265's, 1.5* camber (at normal ride height), offset is at like +3 i think. tire is jacked up into the car obviously.
when i mounted the fenders i pushed them in a little bit to fit my slicks well, so they would naturally sit a little bit wider.

I was thinking of running 17x7.5 +30 in the front and then 17x8.5 +25. Will that work? I am going for a staggered fitment with more lip in the back and shallower in the front. Is that the way to go?
