I want to run a 245/40/18 on a 9inch for front and a 295/35/18 on a 11inch for rea on my fc any idea on offset. I don't care about the fenders and quarter panels I already planned on wide fenders front and rear. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
You could run a zero and have about an inch of clearance with just the standard angle mod.
Modded knuckles, you'll have to see and order the right spacers
I took my setup out a few times this month and my wheels actually rubbed the powdercoat off the spring! Lol. Going to put a 5mm slip on up front soon. They've got them at advanced auto believe it or not for like $10 each!

I have been reading this thread - got to 50 pages and found it fascinating to say the least. So much great info.
I have a thread in the 20B forum (doing an FC 20BT conversion) and I'm recording every step in the name of helping the next guy. I want to add a spreadsheet to show people some known good rear width and offset combinations. Making the spreadsheet was easy as pie, but what I'm not sure what the maximum safe backspace and frontspace is. For example; I know on the rear RETed has used 5.6" backspace (10.5"+9mm offset), which gives 5.9" frontspacing, but he theorised 5.84" backspace (using +15 offset on the same width) would be a safe max. Is that still the case?
I also have no idea how much frontspace is available (with/without rolled guards) on the FC. Dose anyone have this info (ie: max back/ frontspacing available on the rear of the standard FC?)

Clearance is heavily influenced by the size of tire you run, and other factors - the most we can do is give you measurements to ensure the wheel itself doesn't come in contact with any suspension components or body panels. There's really no 'concrete' max or min: only approximates.

My definition of unmodified also includes rolling the fenders (not pulled), so:
Widest tire I've seen is on BlueTII's FC, he's running a 255/275 stagger. I'm also running the same 255/275 until I purchase new tires, during which I'll go with a square 255 all around. If you modify your rear trailing arms and use ingall camber bolts up front, you MIGHT be able to squeeze 285's in the rear and 265's in the front.

I'm running on 18x10 +25 (255/35/18) with unrolled fenders, was going to roll them, but decided i didn't have to. with rolling fenders and bending the mufflers heat shield a little, you could do 18x11 +24/+25, and id say 275/35/18
Hahaha - that's why I said unmodified =) But all good - I've rolled mine as well, only because the offset I'm starting with isn't ideal, is a bit close. Just talking about the rears (because I haven't done any calculations re the fronts - yet), I totally agree above 275 is a difficult process - nay on impossible - until someone does it =) What rear offset and wheel width were you running? 9, 9.5? 10's??

I'm running 17x9 +17 all around. I'm running a square tire setup because it's easier to sort out the handling without having to compensate for differing widths of tire. I can also rotate the tires to get the most use out of them.
I'm looking at a set of 18" x 8.5" with a +30 offset. I am thinking about using a 245/40-18 tire to keep it in as close to spec diameter as I can. Will this work? if not, what would a recommended tire be?
That may be too tall in front. you might want to go with a 35 series tire.
When you had larger rears, what wheel and offset did you run? And that was with rolled fenders right?

235/35-18s = 621mm (This is a horrible size to use due to the fact that there are not very many choices to choose from and what there is is really expensive.
245/35-18s = 629mm (This closer to stock and has far more choices in tire and better prices.)

Are your rear fenders rolled? You get an extra 1/4 to 1/3" frontspaceif you do.

Work VS-XX 17"x8J ET22 front, 17"x9J ET22 rear. 215/45's front, 245/40's rear.
Tokico's with Tanabe springs, RB strutmounts in the front and stock camber settings (camber bolts front, TCsportline rear camber arm). Slight rubbing in the front when driving over speedbumps, should be fixed with a slight roll (or more negative camber).
