For me, 8" wide +30 will work for symmertrical set-up.
For 17" x 8", a 225/45/17 tire will work.
This is a safe combo, as it will clear anything you throw at it.

Others will argue a 235 should fit or more offset will work, but I cannot guarantee fitments like that.

Fronts and rears are too tight...just a little.
It might come down to what size tire you run on this things.
If anything, be prepared to get a set of small spacers.
Eurosport sells 3mm spacers - I think.

With adjustable lower-perch coilovers, they should fit though...

The rears will fit... I have both those sizes, but exact offsets. The front , in my opinion will stick out to far. An 8.5 +35 is about as far as I would go. It does depend on tyre. But those 9.5's will fit great with 275's

How about...

17X9 +44 all around with a 5 or 10mm spacer. 245/45/17 front and 255/40/17 rear?

For starters don't run 10mm spacers... 5mm tops... beside you'd need longer studs for 10mm, but I still wouldn't

If your going to run a 245 up front I think +33-34mm is the magic offset w/ 9", however your suspension is also the main equation and I think they'll stick out to far. A 245 is tight. I have a 235 17 x 8.5 +35mm with the race rubber and that works, but its tight. I can't really tell the difference from 225 vs 235 upfront.. I'm sure a 245 would be noticeable though.

I think I'll roll my fenders before attempting to use these wheels. Up front at least, but even then I'm unsure. It's just that I found a fantastic deal on a great set of wheels...it's just as always, fitment is an issue.

Nothing against finding a good deal, just be sure there a good fit. It wil be close, but anything can be done.

If there +44 you might check into H&R actual spacers. there kinda spendy, but the "safe" way to go...

Just for an Example for ya, my street front wheel is an Enkei RPF1 17 x 8.5 +40 with 225 and it fits... A 235 is real close...too close actually.

I'm sure you've seen this photo, but if not, it may give ya a better idea...

Have you rolled your fenders yet? That looks really tight, that's with a +40 wheel with no spacer? I might have to change out the front tires before I put the wheels on, in that case.

No rolled fenders, no body mods... Just a nice tight fit

got two choices here..

I can go with this combo.... 17 X 7.5 +38mm 215/45/17 up front
17 x 8.5 +39mm 235/45/17 in rear (maybe a 245???)

OR and i'd rather have 18's but worried about the fronts....

18 X 7.5+ 38 225/40/18 in the front (?????????????????)
18 x 8.5 +39 245/40/18 Rear.

They make a few 215/40/18's .... but not many.......

What yall think my best options are???

From the wheel offset calculator.. I know either set of WHEELS will fit.. its the friggin TIRES I'm worried about....

I would think both sets shold work with those tires sizes... On the 17 x 8.5 you can go 255

So... you think i can squeak by with an 18 X 7.5 +38 with a 225/40 up front????? theres a LOT more tire choices... But there are several 215/40's available... I just don't want to buy wheels and then not be able to get tires for it later.

I've been readin this thread for a LONG time (months) before I squirrelled the money together for wheels...

OK... Sumitomo 225/40/18's Datasheet say they were measured on a 7.5 in wheel... GREAT.. thats what i want.. It gives a section width of 9.1 inches in a 7.5 inch rim... That breaks down to the tires adding about 13mm per side over the stock tire at 8.07 inches on a 7inch wheel.... The Offset is at +38... thereby moving the center if the TIRE out 2mm... (TIRE width as mounted is what we a lookin at here as discussed 1000 times already in this thread)

SO... 13-2 = 11... the tire is going to go Towards the spring by 11MM and towards the fender by 15mm... DO WE HAVE 11MM to work with on the inside?? I haven't eyeballed it yet!!!!!

+38 w/ 7.5 isn't tight, so I'd say yes it will work upfront... Compare mine to that. +40 17 x 8.5 up front....thats tight! I don't think 18's will matter much and Ted can chime in on this... Personally I wouldn't get 18's, but everyone has there thing and thats totally cool.

The 18's are heavier.. the 17X7.5's weight 20.3 Lbs each while the 18 X 7.5's weigh 21.6 each..... I HATE to be a blinger.. but the 18's just look COOLER.. They have a 16 X 8 wheel that will fit that only weighs about 15 Lbs.... but... its a 16..... still have the sidewalls to deal with and not as much bling factor!!!!

Personally I dig wide 16's... Thought about 16 x 10 and 8.5's for race wheels... With the tight suspension there is a little more roll that is welcome (via Tein's)
