Yes, that is what he is saying.
Here is a picture of one of my early FD ports. This flows well and makes great midrange power, but in order to spool a larger turbo I have found that trying to square off the top as I marked on the port has had better results for me.
For example on a T67 nondivided .96 exhaust side we were able to get to spool by 3500 on a HKS log mani.
Just some personal experience.
Good luck

Square off the bottom of the port, the top can stay mostly square with a very shallow D if you like. Porting is so personal, you pick your style like you pick your engine builder or tuner, to each their own. Those rounded D-shaped bottom shapes are an old Mazdatrix pattern that have become widespread, not everyone does it like that.

Well i finished cleaning all the metal off my Irons and Rotor housing, and then cleaned all the oil runners to make sure there wasnt any metal left in there.
Also degrease everything and painted it my normal paint skim
Then after all this i started to prep my turbo by cutting the extra stuff off the intake and output so i can get a 90 welded onto the turbo to help with space.

Looks like you got a pretty nice setup coming together. I just moved to Houston, I would love to come by and meet another FD owner. I have met Kyle and I have talked with Chuck, but never met him yet. I also know Jason (formerprscheguy) from years back. When is the projected ETA for this car seeing the streets/track? I just sold my HBP motor about a month or so ago....decided to try something a bit more tame for my track car.

Yep I no everyone that you are talking about, i am the other chuck in are family
I am down in the freeport area so i am south south houston
I work the next 4 days and then i get my Long Change (7 Days Off). This is when everything will be coming together. So my ETA for having it running is by Feb 23
And i should be at the next meeting
