Well, the last one was literally years ago but I'm hoping to do this sort of thing at LEAST once a year.

Registration Totals
As of right now, there are thirteen of the twenty needed for the Sept. 3 Focus Day at Motorsport Ranch to happen. If you're procrastinating, now is a good time to register. Payment will be needed by Aug. 15th. I'm posting a FAQ on the D/FW RX-7 club's site now.

I'm in a bit of a whining mood right now......just out of morbid curiousity, will the chronology of events unfold as it did two years ago?
A $100 and gas money is a bit of change since the wiffey just started her new job after 5 months of being unemployed.....

I planned on going but I won't know for sure for another week or 2, therefore I can't preregister so I guess count me out.

Go ahead and register. You can always let me know if you can't make it.

Yea, I was less than thrilled and I didn't even have a car to drive. The Supra dumping it's oil on the track didn't make anyone happy then with the sun going down at 4:45 it pretty much sucked. There's a compromise between being freaking hot and having enough light to do anything meaningful. I'm hoping I managed to make a decent date this time. It also didn't help that I had exactly two weekends to pick from in 2003 where I was basically given free reign this year. Of course I could be remembering this all wrong, I've had a kid since then.

Tim, you need to justify nothing.
Just planing this event alone, gives you a free "get out of jail card" in my book.
Thank you for taking care of this.
PS did you get my check????

2002 was when the track got oiled....2003 was when there was a 3 hr gap between runs and also started this fun action....how are the numbers looking now? SSixpeed has sold the 4thgen and wants to know if he can bring his CMC 3rdgen Camaro....
The "Thanks" near the bottom and then I start a little whining that becomes a 'war"...
Focus hours or those kind of hours..

For the record the last event was awesome.....
I would love to come this time but I think I'm out. I'm still considering it.

Hopefully you got mine. Are you going to post a list of who's paid up and who needs to pay still? What happens if we don't hit the 20 person target?

Ah 2002, I don't remember it well since my wife was still pregnant and keeping me up all night with her restlessness. In 2003 there was a coolant leak, if I remember correctly, and the staff at MSR took their dear sweet time getting it cleaned up. Admittedly it was a poor time to have the event but it was either then or never since my son was due only a few weeks after the event took place. The place being booked solid for the previous six months didn't help much. This year is completely different. I basically got to pick the weekend. Hopefully I did a decent job of that for you guys this time.
Currently there are 15 people registered but I suspect that two of them (myself and my wife) won't have a car to drive. Realistically this makes it 13. We're seven short of having enough people registered to make the event happen and it's only two weeks away.
