CenTex RX-7 Thread (Killeen, Temple, Belton, Waco Etc)
i need a good mechanic around killeen that can come by my house and help me out. My car wont start for some reason. It started randomly after sitting. My wife drove it one day while iw as deployed and it ran just fine, then she went out a few days later to take it to the car wash to have it detailed for me and it wouldnt start at all. Thought it was the fuel pump so i put a new one in, wasnt it. So i changed the relay as well, wasnt it. I've pulled two of the 4 plugs and they dont look BAD but they're a little bit black and dont smell like much fuel. I went to all the auto parts stores around here and couldnt find any plugs to swap so i ordered some, suppose to be here tuesday. I went through the deflooding procedures as well, but still nothing. It just turns over and puffs smoke out the exhaust and never fires. Anybody able to tell me the best way to check to see if its getting good fire? any ideas? text or call me or even email me. 7062649780 or mckinley.barker@gmail.com, it all goes to my cell so it will be the easiest way to help me. Anybody know the black and red FD here? I think the body was red and the doors and fenders are black or vice versa. I pass it everyday when i come home from work. Never moves.

in need of help!!! we have an RX7 down!!! i got this red 86 fc (no rats nest or smog) it used to start, now it just cranks... it saddens me, i do not understand whats wrong!!!
my gold 86 fc has never had this problem, but this red one is making me angry!!! if anyone would like to help feel free to let me know would like to get it running again....

I'd help but evidently i know nothing about rotors lol. If its a regular maintenance issue i could help. I gotta put new belts on my car this evening when i get back from Schlitterbaun, and swap out the alternator for the high current one. Who can tune with a pfc? Ever since I put the supra pump in my car its been running rich as ****. Almost to the point of flooding itself out trying to start. Its also got a bit of a hesitation/skip/backfire whatever at about 5k rpms.
no i dont have a datalogit. Didnt know i had to pick one up. If so i will i guess. Unless this motor lets go before i even get it tuned lol. Then i can just use my HpTuners again with a LSx lol (Suck it Pratt).

It's getting that annoying idle problem where it slowly drops idle and eventually dies.
My guesses are the BAC, vacuum leak, TPS, fuel injectors, or the worst...low compression.
