I recently (after years of drooling after them) picked up an FC....$100 (no that's not a typo) in Austin craigslist. It's an '88 GXL that's in *very* good shape for the price. When and where do people meet, and does anyone know of a local source for u-joints? Mine broke an end cap on the front one, and it's currently my only vehicle.

 

There is a junk yard with about 4-6 FC's behind the mazda dealership. You should be able to see it if you look on google maps satellite view. Otherwise the Friday night meets at the Target in harker heights is the only meet that I know of. I haven't been in a while though.

 

I know where the place is. They're one of the more expensive ones in the area, though. Anyway, I found one on ebay, it's being shipped from Dallas. Should be here by Monday at the absolute latest.

 

any local meets in dallas fortworth area? i wanna show up with my v8 rx7... its got around 400 hp at flywheel does an 11.2 1/4 mile hopefully 10.8 after my dyno tune... these numbers are from previous owner of my car.... he got an 11.2 a few times and has a picture of a 11.35 run this was with drag radials though... im more into autocrossing then anything.... Sadly my FC got sold to a good friend this week. Before I left the motor took a dump and I'm looking to get a 3rd Gen when I get back. Maybe if Fran has time maybe we can work on a 13B-REW swap on the RX8. (maybe)

 

Bridgeport the hell outta the renesis and get some straight pipes. I just bought my next reliability mod... a daily driver. lol 2005 CTS-V. I do need to get a new clutch in my car. Its been sitting in the closet for oh IDK maybe 5 months now.

Got rid of the FC? And my car is loud enough, straight pipes will make it sound horrible. And get your damn FD running.

My FD is running the clutch is just about completely shot though. Haven't got around to putting/ getting the other one put in. Not enough money and forgot to order the bearings until last week. lol I wouldn't mind going down to Austin for a day to meet up with some other FD owners.

My friend and I are hitting up Little River Dragway again this Sunday if anyone is interested and wants to rep the RX7 crowd. Racing starts at 1 pm.

Went out to Target tonight with the Caddilac only to find another RX7 owner. Definitely bringing the 7 next weekend.

 

worked at the b&m transmissions out there in killeen for a month, a year or so back til they found a new tech for out there . never knew there was that many rx guys out there. who's got them fc parts ?

 

Caddilac? lets put a rotary engine on it, that will make it a sweet ride for sure

 

had a first gen show up later.... guy by the name of abith "abby" silver first gen hung out a while shot the **** and then went to whataburger to grab a bite...
