bout time i chime in and show what i been up to

ok i've been kinda missing from posting since july, well at least about my tii project.
i find alot of you feel the need to harrass me and treat me like dirt. that needs to stop.
with that said. here is what i have been up to since early july.
an se n/a swap to full tii conversion.
i got an engine from cali and it was blown i had to rebuild it and pull my n/a and drop in this engine after rebuilding
with the help of rx7nut13b and mazdapunk87. we did it with in one weekend.
and yes. WE all worked on it. and MOST of what you see is done by me, with the acception of the weekend when rx7nut14b rebuilt and helped install. and mazdapunk87 helped with install of drive train.

the engine bay will be cleaned up and battery relocated, front mount intercooler is in my garage and s5 turbo ported and polished is sitting and ready to go in. i currently have 700 miles on the new engine.
money is an issue, and i will be doing the said things soon as funding is avalable.
hope to see you all at the dyno meet in houston.

Did you use spray paint on the engine?

Kidding. Good job!

I just now noticed this so I'll say it now.... its two words..... remember them well, Jess.... "aftermarket radiator"

Believe me..... ~18 year old plastic that's been heat cycled is just a disaster waiting to happen.... I just happened to catch mine before it got that far. Even more so now that there is a turbo in the equation.

I still get a kick out of the "building the engine in the kitchen" thing.

I rebuild them in my office. Closest I can get to a clean room, and aforementioned A/C, ftw.

Besides, not like its hard to carry it out to the shop once its assembled.

lol. unfortunatly we had the turbo on the engine as well as lower intake manafold when we carried it out to the garage. so it was a bit heavy.

Ever motor has different options and prices but here is the base

I normally charge 350 for the Rebuild without any porting. That is only for the labor.

If you are looking for a Midrange rebuilt, Atkins rotary

I would upgrade from the FC corner seal springs to the FD springs.

It normaly takes about 2 hours to rebuild it if it is clean

I do offer a deal if you clean most of the parts before you bring the motor to me, I take 75 dollars off the price if the motor is cleaned.

Porting is a one-on-one price, we need to talk about what you want to do with the car before you pick witch type of port job you can use.

YES I LOVE TO TECH PEOPLE TO DO REBUILDS HANDS ON LEARNING IS THE BEST

Normaly I will start the front rotor and get the e-shaft in there and the center iron then let you try it with the rear

will it matter if its a 84 se motor? i have to raise some moneys before i can get anything done though. i may try to find a blown t2 motor soon, but i dont know my long term plans yet. just boost in the near future, and knowing the way i am, i will be needing a rebuild soon.

+ 1 for RX7 Nut! He's done my frankenstein motor... just about everything on that car has gone south so far, except the actual motor block its self. So far that motor has survived a megasquirt failure, poor tuning, no tuning, over heating (on several occasions), running out of gas at WOT, me driving it way, way beyond "redline", ect.

When it was N/A it pulled hard as hell for an N/A (i kinda wish i had gotten dyno #'s on it)... and now its ready for boost.
