Whats the word on the GT40R kits?

Anyone have info they would like to share on the gt40r kits from A-spec? Mainly news on shipping them out?

You know how it is Sean! We wait and question the **** out of you for a week or 2 or 3 (like me). Then we decide to buy and want it yesterday!

I have been waiting for 3 months. I am probably one of the people at the top of the list. I am not sure how many sets of GT40r's have been sold and how many are still as of yet undelivered but I believe we will be waiting till garrett has some stock to ship. Hopefully Sean is keeping track of how long some of us have been patiently waiting. Maybe there will be a little suprize with each kit

Yeah, waiting sucks... I just suggest you call the shop... I called and they are still waiting on turbos....

I am not sure if they can give an exact date... because of the wait, but I hope its soon... Cause I am getting excited...

As for that little surprise, what might that be Michael???

I have no actual knowledge of any suprise so please do not infer anything. I was only subliminally suggesting to Sean that a little something extra, like maybe a tranny brace, would be cool if it found itself into my box. It makes no difference to me either way, just figured I'd throw it out there for ***** and giggles.

I am sure Sean has his hands full dealing with all the customers who are calling looking for info on when their kits will be ready. I can't imagine that it is much fun constantly having to tell people something they don't want to hear. I'm also sure that his costs are the same whether we end up waiting 3 months or 6. Having my own wheel and tire business has tought me to appreciate being on both sides of the fence.

Anyway, I'm confident that he is doing everything that he can.

Well I too am in retail (own Hockey store). I find the best is to be upfront about back orders and such as it will always bit you in the ***. You may loose a sale but it's better then having angry customers... I feel Sean has been pretty upfront about the wait with me. I just can not understand how any company (Garrett) would take so long on an order being shipped out. I was having a hard time waiting the 4 weeks I was original told, 2-3 more is going to be very hard. I think I will need some meds to relax me as my car in 100 pieces is killing me!!

I am on the phone with them almost every other day, I know it sucks for you guys, I am not trying to mislead anyone and I certainly hope it doesn't seem that way. Garrett is usually pretty good it only happens when new product is being introduced, I kinda shot myself in the foot by releasing the first few prototype turbos before the production runs began. If it makes you guys feel any better I am also on this list waiting for my turbo as well, and I can assure you nothing is going to happen to your car boostedyellow.

I can vouch for the fact that nothing will happen to your car. Mine sat there for 5-6 months last year while they waited on my motor first and then there were other delays with the turbo and it's hardware. Don't worry about it. It'll be safe there. Sean, Steve, and the rest of the guys take great care of customer's and their cars.

That turbo kit is well worth the wait. My car is sickening fast at 17lbs of boost on Sean's kit. I plan to get to KDR in a week or two for some dyno time. Hang in there. You'll bne glad you did!

See www.A-spectuning.com for prices
As for numbers they are projected to be similar to T-78 maybe a bit more with faster spool.
