V-Band In/Out PTE Exhaust Housings?

Wondering if anyone has information on the PTE exhaust housings they are selling. I have not seen anything any larger than a 0.82 but I don't have access to much info on them. Anyone use one? Any benefits over that standard T4 housings or the Tial Stainless housings?

probably a Tial or Garrett clone. Garrett makes v band inlet turbine housings for OEM turbos. A lot of the Ford diesel turbos are like that.

Benefit is they are smaller and weigh a bit less, and V band needs no gasket. Ive seen them on their race turbos, but not on the smaller ones. If they were clones of the Tial housings, that would be convenient, but I doubt its the case. Too bad they arent stainless!

They are cast iron so no weight savings, they are a garrett clone. Largest available A/r is .82 largest turbine is 62mm. They would be considered similar to a T3 framed volute.

You'd be better off sourcing a divided T4 housing for it. That's where I'm at with my PTE 6768, talk to ScorpionT

Performance wise, a divided T4 is the way to go. The PTE housings offer a V-band flange, thats its, no benefit other then not having to replace gaskets and it wont perform like a fully divided housing. The Tial unit, same thing, they off lighter weight and no gaskets, but it wont out perform a divided housing. Now if it were a 3 rotor............
