Turbo Question/Help

Ok tonight I started working on my winter project I picked up. It's got a single turbo done on it and it's a T04 XSPower turbo. Problem is I was droping the exhaust tube to add a bung for the wideband and the end that was suppose to be mounted to the exhaust side of the turbo just came apart. They were just butted up to each other no nothing holding the exhaust tube to the turbo housing or nothing Pictured below:

now my question is how in the hell is this suppose to be mounted together?

This is how it came apart still clamped to the exhaust tube.

That ring needs to be TIG welded to the turbine housing. Turbine housing needs to be heated in an oven and nickel filler rod used.

or buy a different turbo. if it is in fact an XS power it may not even be worth spending the $150 to tig it up. i mean come on, they just hammered that v-band ring in there and crossed their fingers, doesn't inspire hope to me.

Really don't want to buy another turbo since I'm trying to get the car running to enjoy it for the spring and then sell it before I head back to the states since I can't ship it back with me.

back to this flange. If I use the bigger side to weld the flange onto the housing the smaller side of the flange will be to small to match up with my exhaust and I can't weld the smaller side of the flange to the housing b/c it's too small.

Can I just buy a new flange so it will match up to my exhaust?

being too small is the problem, which is why it was suggested to tig it in place.

be sure to take the housing off the CHRA so you can TIG both the inside and outside edge of the flange then clean up the welds if necessary(shouldn't have to if you do it properly).

I'm in Germany definately not a hot climate. If I was able to ship the car back to Fl with me I definately would get it hooked back up.
